QA Manager

We are looking for a QA Test Manager to embed quality at the heart of our solution delivery. This role will work directly with solution designers and developers, ensuring that unit tests and automated quality checks are created, curated, and continuously improved as the system is built. The successful candidate will own the test strategy across functional, non-functional, performance, and security domains, and will champion best practice to ensure a complex, Azure-hosted booking system meets the highest standards of reliability and performance.

1. Strong background as a QA/Test Manager, Test Lead, or senior QA role in complex system delivery.
2. Hands-on expertise with unit test design and curation, ideally in partnership with dev teams.
3. Practical experience with:
- API testing: Postman, Bruno
- Performance testing: K6 (JavaScript)
- Telemetry & monitoring: Grafana, InfluxDB, Prometheus
4. Proven track record in functional, non-functional, and performance testing for large-scale distributed systems.
5. Experience testing Azure-hosted platforms and API gateways (Gravitee desirable) & Container based solutions / Kubernetes(AKS)
6. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to clearly present risks and outcomes.
7. Strong advocate for “quality first”, willing to challenge when results do not meet standards.
8.Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps testing integration.
9. Load Testing (K6)
10. Proven experience leading QA for data migration projects

Good to have skills

1. Background in high-volume booking, transaction, or e-commerce platforms.
2. Knowledge of security testing approaches and tools.
3. Relevant QA or test management certifications (desirable but not essential).

Key responsibilities

1. Collaboration & Unit Testing
- Partner with designers and developers to define, create, and maintain a comprehensive suite of unit tests aligned to solution designs.
- Ensure test coverage evolves in step with feature development, avoiding technical debt and quality gaps.
2. Performance & Observability
- Design and implement telemetry pipelines with InfluxDB, Grafana, and Prometheus.
- Build real-time dashboards and generate clear test reports for both technical and business stakeholders.
3. Defect & Risk Management
- Manage and prioritise defects, providing clear recommendations on remediation urgency and go/no-go decisions.
- Advocate for quality, including being willing to block releases where standards are not met.
4. Environment & Test Data
- Ensure test environments are production-like, with correct components, data, and configurations to support complex scenarios.
5. Stakeholder Engagement
- Provide regular updates to senior stakeholders, translating technical results into plain business language.
- Collaborate closely with solution architects to highlight risks, weak spots, and design considerations.
- Mentor developers and test engineers to raise the quality bar across the team.

Education Qualification

1.  Bachelor’s or master's degree in computer science
