Key Responsibilities
1. Functional & Domain Testing
· Test payment workflows across card payments, UPI, wallets, net banking, recurring payments, refunds, settlements.
· Validate transaction lifecycle events (authorization, capture, settlement, reconciliation).
· Verify integration with payment processors, gateways, banks, and third-party services.
2. API & Integration Testing
· Perform end-to-end API validation using tools like Postman/RestAssured/Swagger.
· Validate JSON/XML payloads, status codes, error messages, and idempotency.
· Test webhooks, callback flows, and asynchronous transaction updates.
3. Automation Testing
· Develop and maintain automated test suites for UI and API (Selenium, Playwright, RestAssured, TestNG/JUnit).
· Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins / GitHub Actions / Azure DevOps).
4. Regression & Release Validation
· Own full regression cycles for weekly and on-demand releases.
· Ensure pipeline stability, test coverage, and consistency in pass rates.
· Collaborate with development and DevOps to identify stability issues, flaky tests, or environment inconsistencies.
5. Defect Management & Root Cause Analysis
· Log, track, and triage issues using Jira or equivalent tools.
· Participate in root cause analysis and support teams during release incidents.
· Provide clear defect reports with reproducible steps and impact analysis.
6. Performance & Reliability Testing.
7. Documentation & Process Quality
· Prepare detailed test plans, test cases, and release notes.
· Contribute to improving QA processes, automation strategy, and shift-left testing.

Required Skills
· 3–5 years of QA experience in payments or financial transaction systems.
· Strong understanding of payment concepts.
· Knowledge of any US, APAC & EU clearings
· Proficiency in API testing and at least one automation framework.
· Experience with databases (SQL), log analysis, and debugging tools.
· Good understanding of microservices, event-driven architecture, and REST APIs.
· Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) is a plus.

· Experience in GPP.
· Exposure to Kafka/IBMMQ for event-based validation.
· ISTQB Certification or equivalent.
