Job Overview:
Experienced QA Automation Engineer design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks to ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable software solutions. Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, DevOps engineers, and other QA professionals to support a robust continuous integration and delivery pipeline. Participates in QA activities on project assignments and ensures timely delivery on QA commitments in a fast-paced product development environment.
Review of functional requirements and technical design documentation and creation of test plans, test scenarios and test cases. Execution of test plans and certification of application releases
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement automated test frameworks and scripts for web, API, and/or mobile applications
- Develop reusable, scalable, and maintainable automated tests using modern tools and languages
- Execute automated and manual tests as needed to ensure software quality
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
- Track, analyze, and report defects, collaborating with development teams to ensure timely resolution
- Participate in requirement reviews and provide input on testability and quality risks
- Evaluate and recommend test tools, technologies, and best practices
- Maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports
- Ensure adherence to QA standards and continuous improvement of QA processes
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in QA automation or software testing
- Functional and automation testing with Playwright with MCP or Selenium Java or Python
- Experience of LLM tuning/ optimization Testing with Deepeval/ Langfuse/ Pytest
- Agile methodology experience.
- API testing and automation with SOAP UI/ Postman, Rest assured
- Proficiency in at least one automation scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, C#, Ruby)
- Agile methodology experience
- Test & Defect management with JIRA/ Azure DevOps (ADO)
- DB Testing Experience
- Hands-on experience with test automation tools/frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, TestNG, JUnit, PyTest)
- Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST Assured)
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
- Experience testing in Agile/Scrum environments
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in containerized and cloud environments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Knowledge of performance and load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling, Locust)
- Experience with behavior-driven development (BDD) tools (e.g., Cucumber, SpecFlow)
- Understanding of relational and NoSQL databases
- ISTQB or other QA certification
- Excellent Communication and teamwork
