The QA Analyst assists in the administration and execution of the site’s Quality Management System (QMS) and collaborates with other site functional teams to help ensure processes and procedures are established, implemented, maintained and in alignment with ISO 9001/IATF 16949 standards. The QA Analyst key tasks are with day-to-day support for product or raw material disposition, executing QA processes (ex. Specification requests, customer waivers, etc.), and responding to internal inquiries.
The Role:
As a QA Analyst, you will help drive our goals by:
- Review Batch records and disposition material of finished product.
- Review incoming supplier COAs and support updates/changes to raw material specifications. Support with troubleshooting for quarantined material and incorrect paperwork issues.
- Assist with final quality inspections including manufacturing record review and shipping paperwork review and signoff for accuracy and completeness.
- Execute core QA activities associated with QMS such as processing requests for final product specification updates, handling product disposition/internal waivers, performing visual final production inspections, etc.
- Execute Intelex administration tasks – creating of new users, execution document control/change requests, and monitoring of Intelex tasks including document reviews, audits, document approvals
- Support specific quality assurance tracking for key customers and product lines (ex. eyecare batch sheet review, data capture, and sample preparation)
- Support QA Specialists and Engineer with improvement projects/tasks and KPI monitoring
- Support plant floor process audits to ensure quality controls are active, appropriate, and effective
- Other related Quality Assurance projects as assigned
Key Skills that will help you succeed in this role:
- Bachelor’s degree – Scientific or technical discipline preferred
- 1+ year experience in manufacturing environment
- 1-2 years’ experience in a quality assurance role – Desirable
- Experience with ISO 9001 and IATF `6949 Quality Standards – Desirable
- Experience with Lean Six Sigma tools and practices – Desirable
- External quality training or certificate (ex. ASQ or equivalent) – Desirable
