We are currently seeking a highly motivated Sr. Python Developer. This role will collaborate closely with product teams, software engineers and clinical leaders to expose various data products for internal and external clients. With over a million managed lives across the country and terabytes of data generated, our teams need to be continuously equipped with the tools and insights to drive strategy and innovation to further our core values of improving patient outcomes and empowering our providers.

What You'll Do- Analyze existing Python applications and scripts to identify inefficiencies, redundancies, and code smells.
- Refactor, optimize, and modularize legacy code for better maintainability and performance.
- Implement coding best practices, design patterns, and PEP8 standards.
- Conduct detailed code reviews and recommend technical improvements.
- Work closely with product owners and data teams to ensure functionality and business logic remain intact after refinement.
- Debug and resolve issues in existing systems efficiently.
- Write clear documentation for changes and improvements.
- Suggest automation and performance tuning opportunities across existing pipelines or services.
- Bachelor's degree required in computer science, information technology, or related field. Master’s degree in healthcare-related field is preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Python (3.x) and hands-on experience with core libraries (e.g., pandas, numpy, multiprocessing, etc.).
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) and design principles.
- Experience in code profiling, debugging, and performance optimization.
- Experience with data-driven systems, APIs, or data pipelines is a plus.
- Strong hands on with DataBricks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and take ownership of deliverables.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Preferred experience in the healthcare industry
