Join our Regulatory Oversight and Controls team to work on initiatives aimed at enhancing cross Line of Business regulatory controls, analytics, and preparing management information system reports. As part of the Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) Global Regulatory Change and Controls Team, you'll have the opportunity to provide leadership and management across the global CIB regulatory landscape. This includes advocacy, regulatory change, strategic reporting, and regulatory control framework. You'll also be involved in regulatory projects and have oversight responsibility for various regulatory obligations. Furthermore, you'll contribute to the development and implementation of a globally designed regulatory Controls program, primarily supporting the CIB's regulatory reporting obligations.
Job Summary:
As a Project Manager within the Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) Global Regulatory Change and Controls Team, you will have the opportunity to engage in a variety of initiatives aimed at enhancing regulatory controls across different Lines of Business, developing analytics, and preparing Management Information System (MIS) reports for senior management. You will be part of a team tasked with providing oversight, leadership, and management across the global Corporate and Investment Banking regulatory landscape. This role provides the opportunity to develop and execute a globally designed regulatory Controls program, implemented holistically, and managed regionally, primarily to support the Corporate and Investment Banking's regulatory reporting obligations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work in partnership with the GRCC and Operations teams to coordinate with businesses on the execution of regular controls testing. This includes analyzing the results of the controls tests, identifying data anomalies, conducting deep dives on potential issues, and drawing thematic trends to focus on. Collaborate with Operations teams on reviews of the issues, their fixes, and participate in review meetings with LOBs.
- Manage the metrics that are owned and overseen by the team, including generation, implementing required changes, and automating metrics. This involves end-to-end development and automation of metrics, in partnership with Product Owner and Technology teams.
- Support all aspects of the controls monthly reporting process to meet local and global reporting deadlines. This includes contributing to the preparation of governance decks after due inputs from businesses; analyzing the data/metrics for variations/trends and preparing monthly scorecards and metrics that will be reviewed in Senior Management and governance/controls forums.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- Leadership & Partnership - Able to operate across businesses and functions to drive deliveries within internal and external deadlines with minimal supervision. You will be working in alignment with EMEA (London) working hours.
- Communication - Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills. Ability to interact with senior management as required. Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
- Experience in preparing presentations for senior management forums. Strong experience in preparing analysis to be reviewed in governance and risk and controls forums.
- Quantitative and problem solving - Ability to demonstrate innovation, good judgement and problem-solving skills when making decisions.
- Experience in designing, documenting, and implementing metrics to assist businesses to track performance, identify areas of risk, and provide information to management. Independent tracking of metrics and asking the right questions to stakeholders until a clear understanding of issues / breaks, root cause, remediation and timelines is obtained.
- Capacity to think laterally, understand the big picture, and explore strategic and tactical solutions.
- Execution - End-to-end ownership of tasks and proactively working to a solution. You will execute tasks independently under dynamic targets, thrive in an energetic, changing, and fast paced working environment. Able to follow a structured and organized approach for executing tasks or introduce changes into processes. Excellent team player with multitasking and prioritizing skills. Must be proficient with MS-Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Alteryx.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- Ability to synthesize large amounts of information and data, articulate complex issues clearly and concisely.
- Strong data analytical skills to make sense of large underlying data sets, calculations of performance, risk metrics, and identify areas that require escalation.
- Operating Model, Risk Control and/or audit experience.
- Experience in driving change, mitigating risk, and automating processes by using tools like Alteryx and Tableau. Experience in SQL / Python would be a plus.
- Experienced in business processes and product lifecycle. Good knowledge in any of the following cash and derivative products (Credit, Commodities, Equity, ETD, F&O, Rates) a plus.
