How will you make an impact?

The Product Specialist (LCMS) will be responsible for Business development and technical sales to support strategic growth in South region in the Mass Spec Division. The position will require frequent interaction with various groups within the company, including Application team, Product Marketing, R&D, product support, commercial teams, demo labs, as well as our customers. This position will be reporting to the Business Manager-LCMS & Automation.
What will you do?
 

  • Drive the technical sales of LCMS and Automation in West region. He/She must work on strategic growth of LCMS and Automation in this region.
  • Work closely with Sales and Technical team to close deals.
  • Need to be strong technically to convince customers and bring the business based on workflow solutions. Right product positioning to win the deal is key of role
  • Strong collaboration with regulatory bodies for the growth of LCMS in India
  • Support collaborations with key opinion leaders from application perspective and leverage data/results from such collaborations for marketing collateral
  • Need to generate new opportunity by demand generation and working with Marketing division to execute the strategy
  • Strong drive to Pharma,Biopharma, R&A, Food and C&E market to increase market share
  • Need to conduct Account seminars, Marketing seminars on LCMS and Automation
  • Train sales and/or customers on our workflow and deliver key product positioning information along with complete workflow solutions
  • Interact with the global commercial teams to support pre- and post- sales requirements

How will you get here?

MSc/Ph.D degree in Science (chemistry, biology or related discipline)

  • Minimum 5 years of hands on experience on LCMS along with strong technical knowledge
  • Strong market knowledge
  • Excellent presentation skill along with strong communication skill is required
  • Passion to drive business and willing to travel

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
 

  • High comfort level of interacting, discussing, and presenting to internal/external customers
  • Ability to travel 75%

Direct Sales: Responsible for selling of company, systems and services to end-user customers in assigned geographic, territory, industry or accounts. Responsible for developing customers and their satisfaction. Represents the company to the customer and the customer to the company in all sales-oriented activities.
Channel Sales: Responsible for the managing either of a list of channel partners and/or a partner in a given geography. Responsible for the channel quota development, as well as the partners' and end users' satisfaction. Channel partner may be: Value Added Reseller, Original Equipment Manufacturer, Systems Integrators, Distributors, Dealers, Alliances, Partners, Aggregators, Mass Merchandisers or Retail. Manages relationships and business plan as well as associated activities such as marketing, advertising, sales promotions, training and other Channel-related support.
Software Sales: Responsible for selling products which are predominantly software. Sales revenue comprised of > 90% software product revenue.
*Interprets customer needs and works to meet those needs; identifies potential business opportunities, able to handle complex leads independently
*Works on sales assignments with broadly defined objectives
*Solves non-routine issues, challenges and problems within field of specialization

Qualifications

Master Degree or University Degree or equivalent.
Minimum of 5yrs relevant experience with typically 2-4yrs.
