The Role: Product Owner - Learning Management Platform

What's in it for you:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Product Owner to oversee the stability, data integrity, and performance optimization of our Learning Management Platform (LMS). This role will focus on ensuring platform availability, data accuracy, and troubleshooting, while also fostering strong partnerships with HRIT teams for integrations, file feeds, and system-level enhancements. A key responsibility will be troubleshooting and resolving reporting and data issues for content administrators to ensure smooth platform operations and user satisfaction.
Responsibilities and Impact:

Define and communicate the product vision, roadmap, and strategy for maintaining and optimizing the Learning Management Platform, with a strong focus on data integrity, platform availability, and troubleshooting.

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, particularly HRIT, to ensure seamless integrations between the LMS and other systems (e.g., HRIS, CRM), and manage critical file feeds to support consistent data flow and synchronization.

Troubleshoot and resolve platform-related issues, including reporting and data discrepancies, to ensure content administrators can access accurate information and generate reliable reports.

Provide dedicated support for reporting needs, assisting content administrators in creating, customizing, and interpreting reports to ensure they meet business objectives and provide actionable insights.

Establish strong partnerships with HRIT teams to develop and maintain integration strategies, ensuring smooth data transfer between the LMS and other enterprise systems.

Oversee the management and accuracy of platform data, ensuring that all data processes, including file feeds and integrations, are functioning correctly and free from errors.

Prioritize and manage platform issues related to integrations, reporting, data feeds, and system functionality, addressing them proactively to avoid disruptions to platform users.

Provide support to content administrators by troubleshooting issues with course data, reporting discrepancies, and ensuring content is integrated and maintained at high quality standards.

Collaborate with learning content owners to ensure content is integrated correctly, maintained at high quality standards, and aligned with business objectives.

Monitor platform performance and user feedback, analyzing data to drive improvements in functionality, integration, and platform usability.

Ensure that the LMS is compliant with relevant industry regulations and data privacy standards, working with HRIT and other stakeholders as needed.

Build and maintain relationships with external support vendors, ensuring that SLAs are met and that platform performance issues are resolved quickly and effectively.

Stay informed about emerging industry trends, best practices, and technologies in learning management, integrations, and data flow to continuously enhance the platform’s capabilities.
What We’re Looking For:
Basic Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Proven experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role, with a focus on Learning Management Systems, integrations, and data management.

Strong understanding of LMS architecture, data integrity best practices, platform availability, troubleshooting, and reporting.

Experience working in close collaboration with HRIT or similar IT teams to manage integrations, file feeds, and system-level solutions.

Proven experience troubleshooting reporting and data-related issues, especially for content administrators, ensuring that accurate, reliable data is available for decision-making.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build effective partnerships with HRIT, learning content owners, and external vendors.

Strong analytical skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions and troubleshoot complex platform issues.

Familiarity with agile methodologies and product development cycles.

Familiarity with HRIS platforms such as Workday
Additional Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in Product Management or Agile methodologies.

Experience with integrations between LMS and other enterprise systems (e.g., HRIS, CRM) and managing file feeds.

Knowledge of troubleshooting integration-related issues, reporting problems, and managing large-scale data processes.
