This role is eligible for our hybrid work model: Two days in-office
Product Manager
Our Product Design and Management teams work tirelessly to understand what our customers need and make it a reality. They’re the ones who make our deals come to life and our user experience simple and intuitive.
Why this job’s a big deal:
The Developer Experience (DX) organization builds the tools, frameworks, and platforms that make every engineer at Priceline faster and more productive. We're made up of three teams: Client Architecture & Frameworks, QA Enablement, and Tools & Automation. This role brings dedicated product ownership to DX execution in Mumbai — making sure engineering investments are clearly prioritized, aligned to real developer needs, and delivered with consistency and focus. You'll work across all three DX teams to translate developer pain points into actionable work and keep delivery on track. This role is also influential in Priceline's transition to agentic engineering — helping shape how our developers adopt AI-assisted workflows and how our platforms evolve to support them.
In this role you will get to:
Lead DX product initiatives by gathering insights from engineering customers, studying how developers actually work, and benchmarking against industry tooling.
Identify high-leverage opportunities to improve developer productivity — connect with engineers across Priceline to understand pain points around tooling, CI/CD, testing, frameworks, and AI-assisted workflows.
Analyze adoption of our DX platforms and align investments with broader engineering strategy and partner team needs.
Help define product strategy and roadmap across the DX portfolio — write clear specs and user stories, establish milestones, and be accountable for delivery across Client Architecture & Frameworks, QA Enablement, and Tools & Automation.
Drive rollout and communication of DX initiatives across engineering, and help teams manage cross-team dependencies.
Propose experiments and pilots to improve developer satisfaction, adoption, and productivity — and own the metrics that prove DX is moving the needle.
Get your hands dirty. We're a lean team and no job is too big or too small. Some days you'll be shaping next quarter's roadmap with DX leadership; other days you'll be debugging a flaky pipeline with engineers, refining a Jira ticket, or pressure-testing a new framework rollout.
Who you are:
3–5 years as a Product Manager in a software engineering environment.
Bachelor's degree required, MBA a plus.
Technically fluent — comfortable with concepts like SDKs, CI/CD, test automation, system architectures, and developer tooling.
Experienced with Agile/Kanban and backlog management tools (Jira or similar); comfortable with basic data analysis (SQL or analytics tools) to inform decisions.
A self-starter who can move projects forward with little direction, and who is proactive and organized when juggling priorities across multiple teams.
Outstanding verbal and written communicator — from product specs to Jira tickets to stakeholder presentations — with the ability to align stakeholders at varying levels of technical depth.
Demonstrated empathy for the user; in this role, your "user" is the engineer, and you'll champion their needs.
Curious, humble, and eager to grow, with the ambition to expand scope and impact over time. Experience with platform engineering, internal tools, mobile ecosystems, or AI/ML tooling is a plus.
Illustrated history of living the values necessary to Priceline: Customer, Innovation, Team, Accountability and Trust.
The Right Results, the Right Way is not just a motto at Priceline; it's a way of life. Unquestionable integrity and ethics is essential.
