Product Analyst — Rocket Learning
Experience: 2–4 years
Location: Remote
About Rocket Learning
Rocket Learning is an ed-tech nonprofit on a mission to make quality early childhood education
accessible to every child in India. We use a WhatsApp-based solution connecting the
government education system with parents and communities, delivering supplementary
academic content to millions of children daily. We work at a massive scale, with the rigor, speed,
and data-driven culture of a top consumer tech company — because for us, better product
decisions directly translate to better outcomes for underserved children and families.
About the Role
We're looking for a Product Analyst who can turn user behavior data into decisions that improve
engagement, learning outcomes, and program effectiveness at scale. You'll work closely with
Product, Program, and Data teams to track key metrics, run analyses, and build dashboards
that guide strategy across our community-facing platforms.
What You'll Do
● Analyze user engagement, retention, and activity data across cohorts to identify trends,
drop-offs, and opportunities
● Build and maintain dashboards (Tableau) tracking core product and program metrics for
leadership and field teams
● Write and optimize SQL queries to pull, validate, and structure data from large,
real-world datasets
● Use Alteryx to build repeatable data pipelines and automate recurring reporting/analysis
● Partner with Product and Program teams to define success metrics for new
features/interventions and measure impact post-launch
● Conduct deep-dive analyses (cohort, retention, funnel, A/B test readouts) to support
decisions on content, features, and community engagement strategies
● Present findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical
stakeholders, including program and field teams
● Work with engineering/data teams to improve data quality, pipelines, and infrastructure
What We're Looking For
● 2–4 years of experience as a Product/Business/Data Analyst, ideally at a high-growth,
high-scale B2C or consumer tech company
● Strong hands-on SQL skills (must-have)
● Experience with Alteryx or similar ETL/data-prep tools
● Proficiency in Tableau or similar BI/dashboarding tools
● Python knowledge is a plus (not mandatory) — useful for automation and deeper
analysis
● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; comfortable with ambiguity and messy,
real-world data
● Ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights for both business and program
teams
● Excellent communication skills
● Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Engineering, Statistics, Economics, or related)
preferred
● Genuine interest in social impact and early childhood education is a strong plus
Good to Have
● Exposure to product analytics tools (Mixpanel, Amplitude, CleverTap, etc.)
● Understanding of experimentation/A-B testing frameworks
● Experience working with field/program data or in a nonprofit/social sector setting
