We’re looking for performance engineers who think beyond tools and dashboards engineers who are driven by understanding why systems behave the way they do and how performance can be engineered, not just measured. This role is built for professionals coming from product companies who thrive at the intersection of deep system knowledge, analytical reasoning, and real world scale. If you enjoy dissecting complex architectures, translating data into insight, and influencing product and engineering decisions through performance analytics, this is an opportunity to make a tangible impact on how enterprise grade software performs in production.
You will act as a technical leader for the performance engineering team, mentoring engineers and driving execution. You will actively investigate performance issues reported from customer environments and lead day‑to‑day performance testing for ongoing product releases.
Responsibilities:
Drive end‑to‑end performance engineering for Protegrity products researching system behavior, automating performance workflows, and troubleshooting complex performance challenges at scale.
Build a deep understanding of the product’s overall architecture and collaborate closely with engineering, QA, DevOps, and product teams to influence performance centric design and delivery decisions.
Define performance evaluation strategy for new features and releases, lead execution across environments, and deliver clear, data backed performance insights and reports.
Own multiple performance initiatives from investigation to resolution, providing hands‑on technical guidance and mentorship to team members while partnering with stakeholders to drive measurable improvements.
Qualifications:
Expert Hands on with Linux Shell Scripting and computer system monitoring.
Technically guide the team members for work, improvements and interactions.
Should have expertise in understanding of application programming and systems.
Expertise in writing programs using Java/Python or any other programming language.
Knowledge with best understanding to modern computing concepts like Cloud, Containerization and micro-services. Fair understanding of AI / ML.
Familiarity to containerization platforms (Docker, Kubernetes.)
Best knowledge of OS and services.
Give technical leadership to the team with interacting cohesively with all stakeholders.
Guide the team for overall performance engineering functions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with good understanding of computer science.
Strong willingness to research and explore technologies in and around the product and its performance evaluations and improvements.
