The Workflow Crew is responsible for driving the architecture, design, build and governance roadmap across the group for various workflow technologies. This is your opportunity to join an established company where there is a focus on personal and professional development.

As Workflow Engineer, you will be responsible for ongoing change and development for the workflow solutions and provide technology oversight to different business units like Retail Banking, Business Banking, etc.

Roles and Responsibilities:
As a Principal Software Engineer, the primary purpose of the role is to lead, drive, promote, engineer and implement solutions. To drive and continuously improve the tools and process that automate the delivery of code through Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment pipelines which include the build, the testing and deployment capabilities of these pipelines.
Lead high performing API and Cloud Engineering team
Must have hands-on experience on coding
Ownership and governance of solution designs
Adopt a ‘Design to Run’ mentality to architect robust solutions that are fully supportable in a production environment
Provide developmental advice and consult for business case/ideation, discovery, inception and enhancement requests by examining current vs target architectures ensuring align with ES strategy and architecture standards
Collaborate with Solution Architecture and functional SME’s to prototype solutions to explore alternatives, seeking simple & standard solutions with a low cost of ownership
Collaborate with upstream and downstream system representatives to ensure an integrated end to end solution is delivered to achieve the desired outcomes
Proactively seek opportunities for continuous improvement of Core Product systems and data to leverage existing capabilities
Work with Chief Engineers, senior technical and business management teams in identifying issues of current state architecture, developing target state architecture with the ability to communicate the features and benefits
Effectively lead and influence business partners, peers, team members and vendors
Identifies and engages stakeholders, including architecture disciplines, asset owners, delivery owner, business stakeholders and SMEs to ensure architecture is optimal, and has the greatest chance of success
Effectively challenges business leaders to obtain the best technology solutions

Essential Skills
12-16 Years of experience in Designing, documenting and presenting formal solution designs
Well versed with microservice architecture
Experience in Java/J2EE/.Net/C# , Scripting Language (TypeScript/JavaScript/Python) - is a MUST
Experience in AWS services like lambda, API gateway, EKS Cluster, IM Roles & Policy, Bean Stalk, Fargate, VPC, SubNets, Route tables, Load balancer etc., Exposure to Kinesis, Firehose, Cloud watch, Aurora, Step Functions, CDK, Cloud Formation will be preferable.
CI-CD Tools – Github, Github Action, Sonar Qube/Cloud, Teamcity/Jenkin, Docker, Kubernetes
Monitoring and logging tools – Splunk/ObservInc, AppDynamics, Cloud Watch Canary
Technical leader who can be relied upon to develop and lead engineers
Technical leadership of tools and technologies within capability (develop, build, test automation, deployment, monitoring & logging, Observability
Strong understanding of application architecture and knowledge of software implementation best practices and object orientated design principles
You are able to debug complex technical issues involving multiple system components
Ability to work and participate in an agile (scrum) environment
Must have integrated designed & delivered agentic /AI solutions
Education Qualifications:
A degree in Engineering / Computer Science or a related discipline
