What you'll get to do...
We are seeking a principal Web Application Firewall (WAF) Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Akamai and CloudFlare WAF solutions and will be responsible for designing and developing WAF policies and guidelines, developing and maintaining comprehensive rulesets, and on-boarding applications onto our WAF platforms.
- Configure, manage, and optimize Akamai and CloudFlare WAF solutions to protect web applications from security threats.
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including runbooks and troubleshooting guides, to support WAF operations and incident response.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, security, and development, to ensure WAF configurations align with business and security requirements.
- Develop WAF best practices and operational procedures.
Your experience should include...
- 5-8 years of experience as a WAF SME, with proficiency in Akamai and CloudFlare WAF solutions.
- Strong understanding of web application security principles and WAF configurations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex WAF issues.
