ISS Market Intelligence Research forms part of the Market Intelligence (MI) division of ISS STOXX.
ISS Market Intelligence (ISS MI) is looking for an experienced Primary Market Research Analyst to join the Mumbai based Research team in support of our U.S. Research business. The Analyst will send client requests for surveys, review client survey submissions, and work with client data contacts to confirm their responses and resolve any discrepancies, analyze data & results in SPSS, excel and other database environments. Coverage will focus on a recurring series of sales and staffing benchmarking surveys & annual compensation surveys.
This individual will work under the guidance of the Project Manager – Data and Reporting, will collaborate with the ISS MI Research Data Operations team on their initial data QA findings, and will communicate with client data contacts on survey submission statuses and resolution of data issues. Additionally, the Analyst will gain broad exposure to sales, staffing, productivity & wholesaler trends across asset management, annuity, & life insurance.
Responsibilities:
Manage the data collection process of sending the survey requests to all participating clients, follow up periodically to encourage timely client submissions, track submission status metrics, and escalate to the Production Engagement Specialist team as necessary.
Review, interpret, and finalize Data Operations QA results for all client survey submissions in preparation for escalating data issues to client data contacts.
Own outreach to client data contacts to collect survey submissions and effectively communicate data issues.
Engage and follow up over email and sometimes phone call to clearly communicate specific data issues and encourage clients to resolve data issues in timely manner.
Process clients' data restatements and ensure their restatements as well as any qualitative vetting responses are of acceptable quality to proceed with data finalization.
Support Project Manager in preparing final reporting process of results using reporting portal, SPSS, Excel, Power BI and PowerPoint.
Qualifications:
University Degree with academic distinction with at least 1-2 years of relevant market research or related field experience.
Strong quantitative skills and a passion for analyzing statistical data.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to proactively manage time to achieve target dates.
Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple priorities simultaneously.
Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively with other teams.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Familiarity with basic Excel formulas like VLOOKUP, SUM, AVERAGE.
Experience with SPSS or another statistical program would be a plus.
