Job Family Definition:

Responsible for architecting solutions that will achieve customer business outcomes either within a specific technical domain, or across the broader company portfolio (hardware, software, services, and as a service offerings) in combination with all necessary third-party components (e.g. software and integration). Develops and articulates compelling, accurate, and relevant proposals and ensures customer's business and technical requirements are met. Can be aligned to a specific area of technical expertise (e.g., products, solutions, services). Provides technical expertise to sales teams and customers (through sales presentations, product/solution demonstrations, etc.) aimed at gaining the customer mindshare within their domain. These jobs focus on technical selling to customers/partners. May be aligned to specific accounts based on business priority.

Management Level Definition:

Contributions include applying developed subject matter expertise to solve common and sometimes complex technical problems and recommending alternatives where necessary. Might act as project lead and provide assistance to lower level professionals. Exercises independent judgment and consults with others to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives.

SSA (Senior Solutions Architect) at HPE have a unique opportunity to work with our most exciting clients on innovative solutions in Telecom, manufacturing, financial services, public sector, media and health & life sciences amongst others. Candidate will work with data scientists and technology experts to design unique solutions for our customers. This is achieved through interactive requirements gathering, determination of best fit solutions based on problem solving approaches, integrated solution design based on multiple technology types, and a strong ability to present and articulate solutions to senior members of the customer teams.

Successful candidates will provide both solution and technical leadership in creation and delivery of solutions including technical architecture, design, build and maintenance of large-scale computing solutions and development of customized Data Management, advance analytics & AI/ML solutions leveraging legacy enterprise environments and new data sources from inside and outside of the customers own technical ecosystem.

What you’ll do:

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for providing a detailed technical architecture, sizing, preparation of bill of quantities/material, delivery effort estimation and other proposal artifacts for enterprise solutions in the Data Management, Advance Analytics & AI/ML.
  • Creates solution blue prints using HPE as well as 3rd party products, creates technical solution writeup, diagrams and presentations to make comprehensive proposals for customers
  • Collaborate with various sales teams to generate leads and opportunities and provides technical leadership in qualifying, structuring, proposing and winning opportunities
  • Prepares and leads POCs as required by customer. Has technical hands on expertise to configure and demonstrate POC as needed.
  • Regularly leads cross functional teams at times including technical management of client staff assigned to implementation team in the completion of one or more solution requirements, architecture, or implementation deliverables.
  • Helps conduct internal solution reviews with various stake holders, provides peer reviews and propagates collaborative environment
  • Owns structuring of deals including commercials by working closely with commercial architects
  • Develops and interacts with partner eco-system to support solutions, conducts solution reviews with partners and prepares competitive and alternate partnering strategies
  • Provides advanced technical consulting and advice to proposal efforts and solution design.
  • Provides consulting advice to customer senior Information Technology (IT) leadership and sets strategic direction for customers based on HP’s solutions and products in the Big Data and Analytics space.
  • Works with peers outside immediate organization to define and characterize complex technology or process problems and/or develops new solutions, yet works independently to drive technical solutions to a problem.
  • Produces strategies which assist HPE in becoming No. 1 in the market place.
  • Actively participates in HPE professions program and Practice Improvement activities.
  • Leads technically significant work on enterprise scale projects.
  • Is recognized by peers as an expert in the Data Management, Advance Analytics & AI/ML space.

What you need to bring:

Education and Experience:

  • 10+ years of professional experience and at least bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent degree in computer science or related area of study.
  • Knowledge-based and experienced-based relevant industry certifications are strongly preferred.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Demonstrates ability to develop solutions that can be used at multiple customer sites to enhance the availability, performance, maintainability and agility of their enterprise.
  • Experience in working with BFSI & Public sector/Government customer is a Must
  • Detailed know-how on architecting solutions on cloud technologies and should have knowledge of offerings from AWS, GCP, Azure. Certification of any of this platform is desirable.
  • Knowledge around Hybrid cloud computing technologies such as Virtualization, Kubernetes etc.
  • Knowledge around diverse storage technologies including block storage, file storage, object storage, parallel file systems etc.
  • Detailed knowledge around AI, GenAI technologies and relevant certifications will have added advantage
  • Functional knowledge of AI/GenAI eco system and its applications is a Must
  • Develops reusable solutions/artifacts and workarounds that are innovative and demonstrate a deep technical knowledge of the affected products, processes, and customer environment.
  • Recognized as an advanced subject matter expert of Data Management, advance analytics & AI/ML and/or of the technologies associated with this space.
  • Is aware of the capabilities and limitations of the technologies in this area including, but not limited to those listed below.
  • Exposure to databases, ETL tools, BI Platforms, AI and GenAI models and its eco-system components.
  • Familiarity with at least one of the following operating systems: Windows and Linux
  • Optional knowledge of one or more of the following Scripting/Programming paradigms is required: C/C++, Java, JavaScript, Perl, Phyton, ASP, .NET, XML, JSON, PHP, COM Objects.
  • Experience with web servers such as Microsoft IIS, Apache, and Jboss
  • Exposure to storage & infrastructure technologies such as servers, storage and networking components and fundamentals of computing infrastructure
  • Awareness and working experience in sizing of infrastructure components
  • Awareness around infrastructure / application services such as migration, transformation, refresh etc.
  • Has represented previous employers at industry recognized technical events.
  • Has performed troubleshooting across a number of significant multi-vendor products.
  • Has demonstrated innovation and ability to communicate new offerings across multiple business units.
  • Has led a cross functional team in the delivery of multiple solutions across multiple technologies.
  • Ability to operate and present at all levels, and in public forums, to facilitate business discussions, and controls and leads those discussions.
  • Ability to lead production of proposals, working across departments, for complex customer solutions.
  • Able to lead, coach and mentor others in consulting skills.
  • Demonstrates ability to develop and win new opportunities through application of consulting skills.
  • Maintains and develops client engagements which are strategic by acting as a subject matter expert.
