Job Summary

Iron Mountain is seeking a highly experienced and technically adept Presales Solution Architect to join our Data Center business team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading technical presales engagements, designing customized colocation and infrastructure solutions, and driving the win strategy for large-scale deals with enterprise and hyperscale customers.

You will join a high-performing team of experts dedicated to positioning Iron Mountain as a leader in global data center infrastructure and cloud connectivity.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will:

  • Lead Technical Solutioning: Act as the primary technical lead to design and position complex colocation and interconnect solutions that translate customer business objectives into robust technical architectures.

  • Collaborate for Strategic Wins: Partner closely with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Operations teams to deliver high-impact proposals and ensure the feasibility and scalability of solutions for strategic opportunities.

  • Ensure Industry Excellence: Conduct technical due diligence for formal Request for Proposals (RFPs) and Request for Information (RFIs) while maintaining strict adherence to data center certifications and regulatory compliance standards.

What You’ll Bring

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 12–18 years of experience in presales or solution architecture specifically within the Data Center and Colocation industry.

  • Strong knowledge of infrastructure and connectivity, including facility design (space, power, cooling) and complex networking such as Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS), Internet Exchanges (IX), and Cloud on-ramps.

  • Proven ability in stakeholder management, with a track record of engaging Chief Executive-level (CXO) decision-makers to articulate the value of complex technical designs in clear business terms.

  • An Engineering degree in Electrical, Electronics, or a related field; a Master of Business Administration (MBA) is preferred but not mandatory.
