Lead and oversee multiple programs while acting as Scrum Master: plan and execute program plans, manage budgets, coordinate cross-functional teams, facilitate Scrum ceremonies, remove impediments, coach teams on Agile practices, monitor risks and progress, and implement process improvements to ensure timely delivery within scope and budget.
The Program Manager/Scrum Master will play a dual role in overseeing multiple projects and facilitating Scrum processes. This individual will be responsible for ensuring that programs are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget while fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills, in-depth knowledge of Scrum methodologies, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Management:
- Develop, manage, and execute program plans, including project scope, objectives, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful delivery of program milestones.
- Monitor and report on program progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders, providing timely updates and recommendations.
- Manage program budgets, ensuring effective allocation of resources and adherence to financial constraints.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance program efficiency and effectiveness.
Scrum Master Responsibilities:
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Coach and mentor team members on Scrum best practices and agile methodologies.
- Remove impediments that may hinder the team’s progress, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging team members to propose and experiment with new ideas.
- Work closely with Product Owners to ensure a well-defined and prioritized backlog.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. PMP, PMI-ACP, or Scrum Master certification is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Program Manager or Project Manager with a solid understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Strong track record of successfully managing complex programs and projects from initiation to completion.
- Excellent facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder expectations.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced Scrum Master certification (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM)).
