What This Role Involves

• Automating deployment workflows end-to-end using Terraform and other IaC tools.
• Analyzing existing processes and improving them for reliability, consistency, and scalability.
• Integrating and “weaving together” various systems to deliver more efficient platform solutions.
• Supporting internal teams by acting as an SME on platform tooling (e.g., ADO pipelines etc).
• Identifying areas of improvement in our platform ecosystem and proposing practical, secure solutions.
• Writing maintainable automation scripts in Bash, Python, PowerShell, etc.
• Collaborating with distributed teams and communicating clearly with stakeholders.

We are flexible on formal criteria, but we expect the candidate to:

• Have solid Platform Engineering experience within Encompass's ecosystem and strong server-side skills.
• Be comfortable with Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code workflows.
• Be familiar with containerization platforms like Docker, Kubernetes.
• Understand CI/CD and cloud concepts (AWS experience is a strong plus).
• Enjoy automation, problem-solving, and improving engineering experiences.
• Be proactive, curious, and able to partner well across teams.
