About the RoleWe’re hiring mid-level PHP Developers who are equally comfortable working with legacy Core PHP systems and modern applications built on Laravel. This role is ideal for developers with 4–5 years of experience who can navigate existing codebases, write clean and scalable code, and contribute meaningfully to ongoing product development. You’ll be joining a growing team focused on building reliable, efficient web platforms. If you’ve worked with Laravel in production environments and are confident in digging through older Core PHP projects, this role offers the right mix of stability and technical challenge.
Key Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain web applications using Core PHP and Laravel
• Analyze and improve legacy codebases with structured, maintainable refactoring
• Design, implement, and optimize MySQL schemas and queries
• Build and extend features in Laravel-based applications using Eloquent ORM, Blade, Middleware, and Queues
• Write front-end interactions using jQuery, JavaScript, and CSS as needed
• Use Git for version control; participate in peer code reviews and collaborative development
• Troubleshoot and debug application-level issues across legacy and modern stacks
• Work with REST APIs and third-party service integrations
• Follow best practices for code quality, security, and performance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, design, and product

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 4–5 years of professional experience in PHP development
• Hands-on experience with Laravel framework (minimum 1–2 years on real projects)
• Deep knowledge of Core PHP and ability to understand and work with legacy code
• Strong MySQL skills – database design, optimization, complex queries
• Solid knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery
• Comfortable working with Git (GitHub/GitLab)
• Understanding of MVC architecture and modern PHP development practices
• Familiar with REST APIs, JSON/XML, and AJAX
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)

• Experience with Laravel ecosystem tools (Telescope, Horizon, Nova, etc.)
• Familiarity with Linux command line and server-side scripting
• Exposure to Docker, CI/CD pipelines, or cloud platforms like AWS
• Knowledge of task/job scheduling, queue workers, and API rate-limiting in Laravel
