JPMorgan Payments is looking for a business development / solutions Vice President to execute our Cross-Currency Solutions growth strategy. FX and global payments are critical drivers of the international growth agenda for the Payments and FX business.

The Cross-Currency Solutions Vice President will drive the accelerated growth of the regional and cross-regional Cross-Currency Solutions P&L through a full range of sales and advisory activities.

The role serves as a subject matter expert in Cross-Currency Solutions, actively supporting client solution pitches, identifying opportunities for growth and digitalizing clients’ workflows. The incumbent acts as an advisor and extension of sales for the Payment Sales Managers and Global Corporate Bankers, helping to win new business through Request for Proposals, Differentiated Solution Pitches and leveraging client relationships.

In addition, the role serves as the voice of the client—channeling client feedback and competitive intelligence back to our product partners to strengthen product and solution features.  Cross-Currnecy Solution Specialists stay closely aligned to product governance, legal/compliance/regulatory requirements, market practice and technology/operational constraints. This proximity enables early validation of feasibility, reduces late-stage surprises and rework, and ensures solutions are productized in a way that can be replicated across clients and segments.
Job Responsibilities

  • Distinct accountability and partnership model: Lead solution feasibility and productization strategy for regulated and complex payment / foreign exchange control-enabled flows, working in close partnership with: Product (owns product vision/roadmap and approval forums); Payments Sales (owns go-to-market execution, pipeline shaping and client engagement, as applicable)

  • Drive the outlined strategy for growing the Cross-Currency APAC P&L for the assigned portfolio, leveraging existing JPMorgan relationship, developing new relationships with Corporate Banking and Payments Sales, and CDM Marketer.

  • Sales enablement for simple cross-currency payment flows for a defined set of client portfolio: Train relevant coverage partners on cross-currency payment capabilities, including spot foreign exchange payment solutions available via supported payment platforms. This includes the end-to-end payment flow from initiation through automated payment processing, tracking and client reporting.

  • Ownership of complex flow / foreign exchange control-enabled solutions: Serve as the primary solution partner for complex client needs, working with Sales (and other stakeholders when applicable) to configure or tailor existing capabilities.  As a client-facing Vice President, drive organic growth by increasing penetration with existing clients and pitching solutions to new clients, including proposal responses and bundling of products & solutions, and educate clients on new ways of execution.

  • Governance, legal and regulatory rigor (continuous, not episodic): Ensure governance and regulatory alignment are embedded throughout the client solutioning lifecycle. Stay current on product approvals, policy constraints, licensing/regulatory requirements and required controls—reducing late-stage surprises and minimizing rework when feasibility checks happen too late.

  • Structured translation layer between Sales and Product: Convert pipeline signals, proposal inputs and client feedback into actionable product requirements, enhancement requests and prioritization inputs. Translate roadmap constraints into clear client positioning, field-ready enablement and guidance on what is feasible now vs. later. Work with Sales to maintain a healthy client pipeline, ensuring involvement across the sales cycle from opportunity identification through solution pitches and winning mandates. The role is expected to support multiple client segments and industries in India and translate requirements into scalable solutions.

  • Coordination between Payments Sales, Corporate and Commercial Banks and CDM Markets for pro-active and target client calling, develop and present client relevant and thoughtful solution presentations and set-out pricing strategy for all of the Cross-Currency Solutions.

Key skills

  • Cross-border payments and FX expertise: strong understanding of cross-currency payment flows, foreign exchange, client implementation considerations and operating/processing constraints
  • Regulatory and controls mindset: ability to operate effectively within governance frameworks, legal/compliance requirements, and local regulatory expectations applicable to cross-border transactions
  • Advisory and Solutioning: capability to assess feasibility early, design repeatable solutions, and standardize patterns that can scale across clients and segments, while taking an consultative approach going beyond the standard product offering.
  • Commercial acumen and client-facing leadership: strong executive presence, ability to influence outcomes, and proven experience supporting complex solution pitches and proposal responses
  • Stakeholder management: demonstrated ability to drive alignment across Product, Sales, Technology, Operations, Implementation and Service teams
  • Analytical and structured problem solving: ability to leverage data and structured thinking to prioritize opportunities, develop replication strategies, and deliver clear recommendations
  • Globalized view: ability to recognize patterns across markets and segments, apply global standards with local expertise.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Significant experience in cross-border payments, transaction banking/cash management and/or FX-related solutions
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end payment flows and the practicalities of delivery and execution in a regulated environment
  • Demonstrated experience partnering across Product, Sales and delivery organizations to deliver client outcomes
  • Track record in complex client solutioning, commercialization and supporting proposal responses
  • Understanding of APAC regulatory environment related to cash management, account services and foreign exchange
  • BA or BS from a top-tier program or equivalent level education preferred
  • Minimum of 8 years+ of relevant work experience
  • Exceptional writing, verbal communication and client facing skills
