Role Summary
The Communications Coordinator & Organizational Change Manager plays a critical role in shaping, coordinating, and delivering enterprise communications aligned to technology, operational, and organizational change initiatives across Optum Global. This position supports leaders and project teams by creating clear, compelling executive-level communications and deploying change-ready messaging at scale. The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of experience crafting and distributing executive communications and at least 1 year of experience supporting organizational change management (OCM) efforts. A Bachelor's degree is optional and may be substituted with equivalent professional experience.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Executive and Enterprise Communications
    • Draft, edit, and distribute organization-wide communications on behalf of executives, program leaders, and transformation teams
    • Translate complex project updates into concise, consumable messages for diverse audiences
    • Ensure consistent messaging aligned with project milestones and organizational priorities
  • Organizational Change Management Support
    • Align communications with change impacts, readiness goals, and stakeholder needs
    • Support change impact analysis, readiness assessments, and reinforcement activities
    • Develop materials promoting awareness, understanding, and adoption of new processes and technologies
  • Content and Channel Management
    • Create communication assets such as announcements, talking points, newsletters, SharePoint content, and FAQs
    • Maintain communication calendars, version control, and distribution lists
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Work with leaders, technology deployment teams, HR/OCM partners, and Optum Communications
    • Participate in project meetings to understand risks, milestones, and communication needs
  • Measurement and Continuous Improvement
    • Track engagement metrics and refine messaging based on feedback
    • Recommend improvements to communication strategy and channel usage
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so

Required Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of experience creating and distributing executive-level or enterprise-wide communications
  • 2+ years of OCM experience supporting organizational or technology transformation
  • Experience communicating complex topics to broad audiences
  • Experience coordinating communications within large, matrixed organizations
  • Proven solid collaboration and stakeholder management skills
  • Proven solid writing, editing, and storytelling skills

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree; equivalent experience
  • Experience with technology deployments or healthcare/IT transformation
  • Experience with enterprise communication platforms
  • Familiarity with OCM methodologies and readiness planning
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in fast-paced environments
