Operational Resilience Senior Consultant (P3) – Resilience Pillars Integration

Role / Department

The Operational Resilience Senior Consultant (P3) – Resilience Pillars Integration is a First Line of Defence role within the Enterprise Resiliency Office. The role supports the Operational Resilience and Business Continuity frameworks by working with key stakeholders across core resilience pillars to help ensure consistent, risk‑based resilience requirements are defined, embedded, and monitored across the organisation.

The role sits within a dedicated Pillars Integration pod, working globally alongside two other partners to support the integration of resilience requirements across the following pillars:

  • People

  • Premises

  • Technology (including End User Computing and Cyber)

  • Third Party

  • Data

The Senior Consultant will partner with pillar owners, change management teams, and other stakeholders to support resilience outcomes, improve visibility of dependencies supporting Important Business Services (IBSs) and Important Internal Services (IISs), and assist in supporting compliance with Operational Resilience and Business Continuity requirements.

The role is expected to operate with a level of responsibility appropriate to P3 seniority, contributing to defined workstreams, engaging stakeholders, and developing subject matter expertise while working collaboratively with other partners within the Pillars Integration pod.

Key Responsibilities of the Role

  • Support collaboration with global pillar stakeholders to define, agree, and embed minimum resilience requirements aligned to Operational Resilience and Business Continuity frameworks across People, Premises, Technology, Third Party, and Data pillars.

  • Act as a contributing member of the Pillars Integration pod, supporting the delivery of a consistent and coordinated approach to pillar integration globally.

  • Assist in the identification, prioritisation, and tracking of resilience dependencies that support IBSs and IISs, ensuring alignment between pillar‑level activities and enterprise resilience objectives.

  • Support the development and maintenance of processes for obtaining, maintaining, and monitoring data required to assess conformance with resilience requirements at an individual component level.

  • Work with Change Management and relevant stakeholders to support the integration of resilience requirements into change processes, including identifying changes impacting IBSs and IISs.

  • Contribute to the integration of pillar resilience data into enterprise tooling solutions (e.g. Fusion or successor tools), working with internal teams as required.

  • Support the preparation of management information, reporting, and analysis relating to resilience risks, vulnerabilities, and areas of non‑conformance.

  • Monitor and analyse the impact of organisational, process, technology, and third‑party changes on resilience requirements, escalating risks and issues where appropriate.

  • Assist in supporting oversight activities relating to compliance with Operational Resilience policies, standards, and regulatory expectations.

  • Deliver defined tasks and workstream activities within agreed timelines, escalating issues and dependencies as appropriate.

  • Contribute to knowledge sharing within the team and continue to build expertise across resilience pillars.

Skills / Experience

The successful candidate will benefit from having:

  • for internal applications - 24 months as Consultant

  • Sound understanding of Operational Resilience and Business Continuity concepts, including dependencies across people, premises, technology, third party, and data.

  • Relevant experience in Operational Resilience, Business Continuity, Risk Management, or a related discipline within a financial services organisation.

  • Awareness of regulatory expectations relating to operational resilience and business continuity.

  • Ability to collaborate with stakeholders across functions and regions to support delivery of shared objectives.

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to support identification of resilience gaps and risks.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to contribute to documentation and reporting.

  • Experience working in a fast‑paced, evolving environment with changing priorities and ambiguity.

  • Ability to manage assigned deliverables independently, while collaborating effectively with stakeholders across the team.

  • Strong collaboration skills and a proactive approach to learning and development.

  • Experience: 7–10+ years of related experience in in operational control and / or resiliency.
