Job Title:SAP S/4HANA Cutover LeadLocation: Hyderabad, India (Hybrid)Summary of the Role
As an ERP Cutover Lead, you will play a critical role in Lonza’s global S/4HANA digital core transformation. You will be responsible for designing, planning, and executing end-to-end cutover activities that enable a seamless transition from legacy systems to SAP S/4HANA.
This is a high-impact, permanent role supporting a large-scale greenfield ERP transformation with multiple go-lives over several years. You will work closely with business leaders, project managers, functional and technical teams, and external partners to ensure business continuity, minimal disruption, and successful system adoption.

- Define and document the end‑to‑end SAP S/4HANA cutover strategy, including scope, milestones, dependencies, timelines, and alignment with the overall project plan.
- Ensure readiness across all streams—data migration, integrations, business processes, infrastructure, and organizational change—prior to cutover.
- Develop detailed cutover execution materials, including runbooks, task lists, checklists, and mock‑cutover rehearsal plans to validate readiness.
- Coordinate cross‑functional teams during execution, working closely with functional, technical, and business stakeholders to ensure smooth orchestration.
- Identify, manage, and mitigate cutover risks and issues, executing contingency plans and driving real‑time issue resolution during the cutover window.
- Serve as the central communication hub, ensuring clear, timely updates and alignment across internal and external stakeholders before, during, and after go‑live.
- Lead post‑go‑live stabilization and continuous improvement, including handover to operations, conducting lessons‑learned reviews, and strengthening enterprise cutover methodologies.
- Proven track record leading complex ERP and SAP S/4HANA cutovers, with deep understanding of SAP landscapes, data migration processes, and end‑to‑end system integrations.
- Extensive experience working in large‑scale, global transformation programs, coordinating across multiple regions, teams, and time zones.
- Expert-level competency in cutover strategy, planning, execution, and governance, ensuring smooth and controlled go-live transitions.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving abilities, with the capability to assess risks, resolve issues quickly, and make decisive recommendations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, able to influence, align, and lead cross-functional teams in high-pressure, time‑critical environments.
- Educational foundation with a Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree is an advantage.
- Relevant professional certifications, including SAP S/4HANA or SAP domain certifications, and project management credentials such as PMP, PRINCE2, or IPMA; English fluency at a business level.
