The Jet Report Developer will design, build, and maintain Jet reports from Navision data and develop complex Power Queries. They are responsible for resolving support tickets, participating in UAT, and collaborating with stakeholders on data requirements, while ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
Main Purpose:We are looking for a Jet Report Developer who must be familiar with energy segment and with a strong background in data and Jet reports. As a Jet report Developer, you will be responsible of developing, supporting and resolving tickets on Jet reports from live Navision data. You are also responsible for building complex power queries which can substitute some of the complex Jet reports. This role is offered on a full-time basis.Knowledge Skills and Abilities, Key Responsibilities:
The position will involve but is not limited to the following areas of responsibility:
- Experience with different databases like Synapse, SQL DB etc.
- Development of Jet reports / Tableau / Qlikview/Power BI dashboards and reports (complex formulas, variables, chart types)
- Translate business needs to technical specifications
- Strong understanding of Navision data and database
- Design, build and deploy Jet reports and Power queries
- Maintain and support Jet reports
- Prepare test cases and conduct testing and troubleshooting
- Participate in UAT with business users and solve the problem
- Analyse and resolve support tickets and communicate to users
- Develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses
- Work collaboratively with BAs to identify and gather detailed business requirements and demonstrate the work
- Meet and collaborate with stakeholders to understand the data, information and analytics required for their business units.
- Strong understanding of SQL and should be able to write complex SQLs to build Power queries for the requirements that cannot be fulfilled by Jet reports
Other Responsibilities:
- Prepare documents, meeting materials and correspondence
- Perform basic support duties as required to meet specific business objectives
- Ensures the accuracy and integrity of data presented in reports, conducting thorough validations against source systems or databases.
- Manages and addresses tickets raised by users regarding the Jet Reports, ensuring that any issues are resolved promptly in line with agreed service level agreements (SLAs).
- Background in data warehouse design to design the best dashboarding solution
Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a Jet reports developer or similar role
- Sound knowledge of various BI tools like Tableau, Power Query, Power BI etc.
- Efficient communication and Analytical skills
- Strong hands-on knowledge on SQL
- Maintain the end-to-end vision of the data flow and develop efficient BI data models
- Understanding of end-to-end data warehouse solution implementation from extraction to visualization
- Proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative
- Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude
Experience:
- 7+ years of overall IT experience
- Implementation experience of 3 to 4 end-to-end projects to develop multiple Jet reports and Power Queries from scratch
- Experience integrating different IT systems
- Multicultural environment experience
- Knowledge on energy industry
Ability to demonstrate the following:
- Strong communication and technical skills across all levels of an organization
- Proven ability to support end users on all levels, as well as collaborate with all levels of IT staff.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and exercise strong technical and business judgment in critical scenario.
- Be able to travel at very short notice to countries as required.

- Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in information technology or computer science
