Mumbai-Engineer Level 1-Automation Engineering

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web and mobile applications.
• Perform mobile application automation testing using Appium across Android and iOS platforms.
• Develop and maintain UI automation scripts using Playwright for web applications.
• Utilize Core Java and TypeScript to develop, execute, and maintain automation test scripts.
• Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and business stakeholders to understand application requirements and testing objectives.
• Execute automated test suites, analyze test results, identify defects, and report issues with clear documentation.
• Perform functional, regression, and integration testing to ensure application quality and reliability.
• Identify opportunities to improve test coverage, automation efficiency, and overall testing processes.
• Debug automation scripts, troubleshoot failures, and maintain existing automation frameworks.
• Participate in test planning, test case design, defect triage, and Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
• Ensure adherence to testing standards, best practices, and quality assurance processes.

• Minimum 1+ year of experience in software testing, with hands-on exposure to test automation.
• Hands-on experience in mobile automation testing using Appium.
• Experience in Playwright for web application automation.
• Strong programming knowledge of Core Java and/or TypeScript, with practical experience using both preferred.
• Understanding of automation frameworks, test script development, execution, and maintenance.
• Knowledge of functional, regression, and integration testing concepts.
• Familiarity with defect tracking, test case management, and debugging automation failures.
• Understanding of web and mobile application testing methodologies.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work in an Agile development environment.
