The Mechanical Engineer will provide technical support for maintenance operations, analyze mechanical designs, manage equipment integrity, and improve plant reliability using CAD.

Summary
The candidate will provide
discipline support to the maintenance and operations’ teams in the Non-Plant
Areas to assure mechanical asset integrity and achieve / sustain the business
annual targets set for reliability, availability, and integrity in a
cost-effective manner.
Duties
& Responsibilities
1. MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Analyze all mechanical designs and prepare all
work instructions / packs necessary for static and rotating equipment
setup
- Support
the Bad Actors Management process for the mechanical and rotating
equipment, within the Area, to identify and eliminate recurrent failures,
potential threats and shortfalls in equipment and system performance.
- Provide
technical support for piping design, repair, modifications and making
recommendations leading to the selection of vendors for piping
specialties,
- Creating,
produce, implement designs using CAD and test procedures, also, to analyze
and interpret data
- Support
the monitoring of relevant KPIs for equipment reliability performance
together with the relevant custodians and decide together with the
maintenance, operations, and discipline engineering teams the necessary
actions to sustain / improve plant reliability.
- Ensure
that details of all critical spare parts and equipment spares are loaded
into the CMMS with the appropriate min/max levels
- Support
the preparation and execution of the major maintenance scope for
projects/campaigns for the Non-Plant Asset
- Manage the integrated planning and
scheduling of all disciplined activities to ensure delivery ahead of SLA and
excellent customer satisfaction.
Requirements
Education
B.Sc. degree in Mechanical
Engineering
Experience/Certifications
5 years postgraduate experience, out of which at least 3
years should have been spent in a multi-discipline maintenance position, or
Discipline Engineering position in a reputable organization, preferably an Oil
& Gas company.
