Job Description:

Job Summary

The Country Marketing Manager plays a key role in volume, revenue, and profit growth, per country business plan by identifying new market opportunities existing in the external market or created by internal activities. He/ She supports the sales process by developing growth strategies and action plans that address the needs of target customer segments. The Country Marketing Manager ensures that appropriate revenue management initiatives and pricing processes are applied. He/ She works closely with other country staff to ensure that strong collaboration exists between their respective teams, growth and improvement opportunities are clearly identified, and strategies for opportunities are developed. This position works closely with other country staff to ensure that action plans are established for the successful execution of initiatives.

Job Duties

  • Manages In-Country Revenue Management, Small Package
  • Manages detailed analysis and development of local Revenue Management initiatives to accelerate profitable growth, thereby strengthening UPS’ overall market position in small package and freight forwarding in the country.
  • Structures and enhances the revenue management process and procedures to accelerate profitable growth for UPS small package.
  • Optimizes contract administration for the non-strategic accounts to ensure profitable growth for the country.
  • Develops, reviews, and implements procedures to continuously improve timely and accurate pricing.
  • Maintains an audit compliance process to ensure compliance guidelines are met.
  • Manages the pricing process within the enterprise guidelines and to support local growth expectations.

Manages In-Country Planning & Opportunity

  • Identifies and prioritizes proper segmentation of addressable markets through relevant segmentation criteria and customer behaviors to increase proactive lead quality and quantity.
  • Defines market leadership and value proposition based on addressable markets and sizes markets by product, competitor, and industry trends to ensure profitable growth.
  • Creates long term planning in terms of volume & revenue to ensure business objectives are met.
  • Develops a one-year business plan and completes ongoing analysis of performance to plan
  • Provides guidance on where the country needs to improve performance to increase revenue growth and maximize profitability.
  • Develops and maintains the local CPC report to communicate results.
  • Identifies opportunity for service enhancements to connect to District and Region RSC process.
  • Obtains, consolidates, records, and analyzes market, competitor, and country information compiled in the country fact book to assist in planning.

Executes Communications - Promotional and External

  • Manages local internet page, provides translations for UPS.Com, assists in UAT for new functionality, provides feedback to the region and corporate to ensure local advertising and signage complies with brand usage guidelines.
  • Takes care of internal communications in the form of an intranet page and internal newsletter to provide an accessible and useful information repository for internal clients.
  • Identifies and executes a direct marketing communication program to support achievement of business plan goals.

Manages and Develops Others

  • Manages resources and people processes (e.g., Performance Reviewsongoing, Career Development, Training, Staffing, etc.) to ensure the day-to-day administration of processes and formal procedures.
  • Identifies individual and team skill gaps and developmental opportunities (e.g., training, special assignments, conferences, projects, etc.) to facilitate individual and team development.
  • Ensures that direct and indirect reports have documented career goals and detailed plans for achieving these goals to develop them personally and professionally.
  • Conducts frequent performance evaluations in a consistent, fair, and objective manner to facilitate open communication and encourage continuous performance improvement.
  • Holds others accountable to established performance levels to achieve individual and group goals.
  • Resolves individual and group performance issues in accordance with UPS’s policies and procedures in a timely manner to motivate and foster teamwork.
  • Coaches others and provides on-going feedback and support to improve performance.
  • Identifies opportunities to involve others in new and challenging work assignments and/or rotations that advance the skills and capabilities of individuals and the organization.
  • Makes salary recommendations to reward employee performance.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree or Intl Equivalent - Preferred
