Job Description
Line management and technical leadership of a team of Data Ops engineers , act as a mentor to develop their skills and a coach to guide them. He/ she tests, debugs and supports the operations of multi-terabyte marketing database solutions which integrate and activate customer data. The qualified candidate will be immersed in the monitoring, business-as-usual operations, and maintenance of one or more database solutions using technologies like Microsoft Azure/SQL Server, Amazon RedShift or Google BigQuery.

• Strong written and oral communication skills

• People Management experience of handling minimum 10+ team members for at least 2+ years.
• Practical application of relational database and data warehousing concepts
• Practical application of file management concepts (sftp, encryption/decryption)
• Solid understanding of the SQL language (for example: T-SQL, BigQuery)
• Solid understanding of ETL concepts (for example: Microsoft SSIS, Informatica, Talend)
• Practical application of job scheduling tools (for example: Cisco Tidal)
• Possess a sense of urgency, follow-through, self-initiative, curiosity, Organized and detail oriented
Good to have skills
• Tidal or similar automation tool
• Jira or any other ticketing system
Key responsibiltes- Responsible for 100% accurate and on time delivery under tight deadlines
- Interacts with clients, vendors, and internal team members to ensure timely delivery and processing of data feeds, successful job execution, and issue escalation
- Creates clear/precise detailed job instructions and drives process improvements
- Test, debug and support SQL Stored Procedures/Scripts on modern technologies (for example: Microsoft SQL Server/Azure, Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery)
- Test, debug and support ETL workflows in Microsoft SSIS, Informatica, Talend etc.
- Will lead a 24X7 operations team
- Troubleshoot file transmission problems including engaging client/vendors to resolve issues
- Troubleshoot data loading, processing and QC/validation issues
- Manage JIRA tickets
- Write and maintain technical and operational documentation
- Leading a team of 10+ associates
Education Qulification
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
Shift timing
• Shift & Time Zones - Working in client specific time zones and rotational shifts, as required. Including Weekend support (24x7 team).
