About the role:
As a Recruiting Manager, you will lead and develop a high-performing Talent Acquisition team, driving best-in-class recruitment strategies and processes. You’ll partner with business leaders to align talent needs with organizational goals, oversee the full recruitment lifecycle, and champion SailPoint’s culture and value proposition. You will be a critical thinker who can anticipate the needs of our stakeholders, proactively address challenges, and hold the team accountable for timely and proactive communication.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and develop a team of recruiters, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment. Provide guidance and support to navigate the challenges of a high-growth environment.
Strategic Partnership: Work closely with department leaders and hiring managers to forecast hiring needs, define role requirements, and develop sourcing strategies. Proactively identify potential roadblocks in the hiring process and develop mitigation strategies.
Process Excellence: Drive global alignment with SailPoint recruiting strategies. Oversee and continuously improve recruiting processes, including role definition, talent pool creation, candidate outreach, evaluation, and onboarding. Ensure adoption of frameworks such as Performance Based Hiring (PBH) and SMART job descriptions. Emphasize the importance of data-driven decision-making and continuous process optimization.
Operational Oversight: Own requisition management, metrics tracking, awareness of offers, approval workflows, Workday and Tableau reporting monitoring, etc.
Quality & Metrics: Set and monitor qualitative and quantitative goals for the team, ensuring high standards in candidate experience, outreach, screening, and hiring. Implement mechanisms to ensure timely and proactive communication with global stakeholders.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build operational credibility with all levels of management, proactively aligning recruiting strategies with business objectives. Anticipate stakeholder needs and proactively provide updates and insights.
Training & Development: Lead onboarding and ongoing training for recruiters, including mentoring through SailPoint’s “Buddy” structure and facilitating knowledge of tools (Workday, LinkedIn, Findem, Calendly). Focus on developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills within the team.
Continuous Improvement: Regularly review processes, training guides, and best practices (e.g., Recruiter Guardrails), identifying and implementing improvements. Foster a culture of continuous learning and adaptation to the evolving needs of the business.
Employer Branding: Articulate and promote SailPoint’s market position and value proposition to attract top talent. Tailor the employer branding message to resonate with the Indian talent market.
Player/Coach: Willingness to operate as a Player/Coach, supporting the team by directly handling recruiting responsibilities for critical, high-level roles such as Senior Managers and Directors, as needed. This includes full-cycle recruiting, from sourcing and screening to offer negotiation and onboarding.
Milestones & Success Path
First Month:
Understand company goals, talent needs, and the recruiting operating model.
Set up meet and greets with stakeholders you will support
Using our guide, develop and deliver your SailPoint value proposition pitch, customized for the Indian market.
Build strong relationships with your recruiting team and hiring managers.
Assess current processes, tools, and metrics to identify strengths and gaps.
Begin participating in hiring manager meetings, take sessions, interviews and roundtables
Establish clear expectations with your team for delivery and communication.
By 3 months:
You have observed current team processes and identified areas of improvement; you are now implementing process improvements and efficiencies Implement
You have identified quick win opportunities to improve efficiency and are executing on them
Trust is built with team by this point; mentor and motivate recruiters
Take ownership of recruiting delivery for assigned business areas.
Partner with hiring managers to standardize interview processes and decision-making.
Introduce at least one new sourcing/recruiting strategy to expand candidate pipelines.
Build credibility as both a people leader and a trusted advisor to stakeholders.
By 6 Months:
Demonstrate improvements in recruiting processes and team performance.
Successfully navigate the challenges of a high-growth environment.
Mentor recruiters on best practices, coaching them on stakeholder management and candidate experience.
Implement scalable processes for reporting, candidate flow, and interviewer training.
Strengthen cross-functional partnerships with HR, finance, and business operations.
By 12 Months:
Be regarded as a trusted, strategic partner to business leaders and a respected leader within the TA team.
Mentor and develop recruiters, elevating team capability while contributing to evolving recruiting strategies and best practices.
Inspire and motivate the team, sustaining high engagement and morale through the challenges of rapid growth.
Demonstrate consistent delivery of hiring goals, while building scalable processes that set the team up for long-term success.
Qualifications:
3+ years of people management experience leading a team of 5+ Recruiters
Proven experience in recruiting management or senior talent acquisition roles on a global stage
Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills
Demonstrated ability to think critically, anticipate challenges, and proactively develop solutions
Expertise in recruiting tools and platforms (Workday, LinkedIn, Naukri etc.).
Excellent communication, relationship management, and stakeholder engagement abilities
Commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence
Experience working in a high-growth environment
Strong understanding of the Indian talent market
Ability to work 3-4 overlapping hours with US timezone
