This role is eligible for our hybrid work model: Two days in-office.
This individual will serve as an integral member of a team responsible for Priceline's intracompany and intercompany accounting to ensure accurate and timely preparation of journal entries; account reconciliations and maintaining Indian entity’s statutory ledger.

In this role you will get to:

Responsible for all aspects of intracompany and intercompany transactions including recording, reporting, elimination, and settlement.

Liaise with accounting teams across all Booking Holdings’ brands to ensure intercompany elimination.

Understand all intercompany relationships, including but not limited to revenue share and cost-plus arrangements.

Ensure that all intercompany relationships are supported with contracts. This will require establishing cross-functional relationships with legal, tax, and Booking Holdings.

Ensure internal controls are effectively maintained for assigned tasks.

Work with teams across Booking Holdings to implement the Blackline intercompany module.

Review and Record monthly journal entries for more complex transactions.

Review and Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts monthly; resolve any reconciling items on a timely basis.

Supervise both direct and indirect reports

Prepare monthly variance explanations for income statement and balance sheet accounts

Respond to requests from risk and controls, internal audit, external audit, and Booking Holdings, Inc.

Provide support for the quarterly reviews and year-end audits.

Recommend improvements to the efficiency of accounting processes and timeliness of deliverables.

Assist with ad hoc projects as they arise.

Lead the team as a people manager as well act as a local support system fostering a positive and ethical work environment. You will prioritize the well-being and development of your team members, providing guidance, addressing day-to-day issues, and nurturing a collaborative atmosphere. Crucially, you will also connect regularly with the Functional Manager to discuss team members performance and share collaborative feedback, ensuring a holistic view of each individual's contribution and growth.
Who you are:

Chartered Accountant

7+ years of related professional experience preferably with a GL team or a US Multi-Currency Company

Excel proficiency required

Experience with Oracle, BlackLine, OneStream

Detail-oriented, excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills

Strong analytical skills

Demonstrated experience working with multiple departments to achieve goals

Demonstrated ability to multitask and meet deadlines within a fast-paced environment
