Job Description:
In house counsel for our global legal team to assist with global IT procurement and sourcing contracts.
Years of Experience
4-6 years at a major law firm and/or in-house, including drafting and reviewing commercial agreements
Qualifications
Law graduate from a reputed law school/university.
Responsibilities
- Support strategic sourcing efforts of the Global Sourcing and Procurement (GSP) team in different jurisdictions in the following areas: Cloud services/software and enterprise license software (applications, SaaS, On Demand, VAR, etc.), implementation services, infrastructure hardware and telecom (wireless and wireline), third-party data and related platforms, professional services and outsourced agreements.
- Ability to identify and mitigate any legal risk related to sourcing goods and services using contract negotiations and drafting skills.
- Leverage existing templates to capture applicable legal concepts.
- Work closely with various stakeholders in different jurisdictions including but not limited to the Global Sourcing and Procurement (GSP) team, the local legal counsels and the group’s IT business in relation to legal issues to achieve timely closure of the contracts.
- Act as subject matter expert regarding the legal related matters in contracts under dispute.
Special Requirements
One day a week will be worked as an extended EMEA shift instead of India Shift - 2 pm to 11 pm.
Candidate Requirements
- Strong knowledge of commercial contract drafting and experience with common legal issues related to commercial contracting.
- Excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills. Experience of interaction with diverse set of stakeholders at all levels, acting with substantial autonomy.
- Action oriented and solution minded team player with high degree of self-management.
