Lead Software Engineer(Java, springboot, microservices))

Job Overview:
As a Lead Software Engineer specializing in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing scalable, resilient, and high-performance software solutions. You will provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, driving architectural decisions, and ensuring adherence to best practices and industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Java development, Spring Boot framework, microservices architecture, and cloud technologies, along with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Role:
1. Architectural Design: Lead the design and implementation of complex software solutions using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture, considering scalability, performance, and maintainability.
2. Technical Leadership: Provide technical direction and guidance to development teams, mentoring engineers on best practices, design patterns, and architectural principles.
3. System Design: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements, architect solutions, and create technical designs that align with business goals and objectives.
4. Microservices Development: Design and develop microservices-based applications, leveraging Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and asynchronous messaging patterns to ensure modularity, flexibility, and resilience.
5. Cloud Integration: Architect solutions for cloud deployment, utilizing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, and implementing cloud-native services and technologies.
6. Performance Optimization: Identify performance bottlenecks and architectural constraints, proposing and implementing optimizations to improve system efficiency, scalability, and responsiveness.
7. Security and Compliance: Ensure the security and compliance of software solutions by implementing best practices, encryption mechanisms, and access controls, in alignment with industry standards and regulations.
8. Code Reviews and Quality Assurance: Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and architectural guidelines. Collaborate with quality assurance teams to define testing strategies and ensure software quality.
9. Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Create and maintain architectural documentation, including design documents, diagrams, and technical specifications. Facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration among team members.
10. Emerging Technologies: Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices related to Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and cloud computing. Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to enhance development processes and capabilities.
Skills/ Abilities:
1. Strong proficiency in Java programming language and Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Data, etc.).
2. Solid understanding of microservices design patterns, principles, and best practices.
3. Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
4. Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, caching mechanisms, and distributed systems.
5. Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment tools.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
7. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
8. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and drive technical initiatives to completion.
9. Experience with reactive programming and event-driven architectures.
10. Knowledge of domain-driven design (DDD) principles and practices.
11. Familiarity with microservices monitoring, logging, and tracing tools.
All About you
1. Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience.
2. Minimum 8 years of experience in the Design and delivery of High TPS distributed enterprise systems is preferred.
3. 10+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
4. Must be an architect in the current role and actively designing and delivering designs.
