Job Description
Skills and Competencies:
- Commercial .NET development experience in a complex application environment with multiple parallel development streams.
- MS SQL Server experience, including complex queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
- Strong understanding of .NET frameworks, preferably as a full-stack developer.
- Ability to debug complex production code and provide effective workarounds for urgent fixes.
- A pragmatic approach to software development, balancing speed and quality.
- Expertise in designated areas of technical specialization.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Prior knowledge and skills:
- Strong experience with TFS and Visual Studio products.
- Have extensive coding, testing and documentation experience.
- Experience in creating complex functions, scripts, stored procedures and triggers to support application development.
- Experience in analyzing existing SQL queries for performance improvements.
- Knowledge of financial & investment products including Superannuation, Unit Trust and Pension products is desirable.
- Experience working in a geographically distributed team environment.
