The Team:

 The EDM Quality Assurance team comprises of Highly skilled and experienced Testing professionals located in US, Europe and India. The team supports the high quality of software by independently verifying that software functionality conforms to business requirements using a combination of manual and technical testing techniques. The team is also responsible for verifying technical aspects of the implementation including the performance and scalability of the solution.

 

What’s in it for you: 
S&P Global is seeking experienced testing professionals to join its EDM team. This position is a hands-on test build /execution role. It is a highly technical position and will require strong knowledge of automation and more specifically testing of microservices based architectures. We are looking for individuals that can lead, provide thought leadership, work in an agile manner and are passionate about technology.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Performance Testing & Analysis:
    Design, implement, and execute performance tests (load, stress, scalability, and endurance) to evaluate system performance.
  • Cloud Performance Testing:
    Design and execute performance tests for cloud-based applications and services (including load, stress, scalability, and endurance tests) to evaluate system performance at scale.
  • Bottleneck Identification & Troubleshooting:
    Identify performance bottlenecks across distributed systems, cloud services, databases, APIs, and microservices. Utilize diagnostic tool’s and advanced troubleshooting techniques to resolve issues.
  • Cloud Infrastructure Optimization:
    Collaborate with DevOps and cloud infrastructure teams to ensure that cloud resources (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) are optimized for performance and cost efficiency. Apply best practices in cloud performance tuning, auto-scaling, and resource management.
  • Collaboration:
    Work closely with development, QA, and DevOps teams to troubleshoot and resolve performance-related issues.
  • Tools & Frameworks:
    Utilize performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, or similar) to simulate different load scenarios and measure performance.
  • Monitoring & Metrics:
    Set up monitoring solutions to gather performance metrics, including response times, throughput, resource utilization, and system availability.
  • Documentation:
    Maintain detailed documentation of performance test plans, results, and optimization strategies.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    Contribute to the enhancement of performance testing strategies, methodologies, and best practices within the team

 

 What We’re Looking For:

  • 8-11 years of experience in performance engineering or performance testing with a strong focus on cloud-based applications and infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, or similar.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
  • Familiarity with performance profiling tools (e.g., VisualVM, Dynatrace, New Relic).
  • Strong understanding of application architecture, databases, networking, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, Groovy) to automate testing processes.
  • Solid understanding of web technologies, APIs, and microservices.

 

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related fields.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment following Agile software development principles.
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully multi-task.
  • High energy and a self-starter.
  • Preference will be given to candidates that have experience working with Microservices or distributed systems.
  • Expert on data management technologies (RMDBS, NoSQL)
  • Good background on leveraging cloud technologies
  • Focus on Microsoft stack, but knowledgeable on cross-platform tech.
  • Ability to deliver products in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
