Job Description:
We are seeking an enthusiastic Junior Privacy Analyst to join our Global Privacy Team (GPT). In this role, you will support the development and implementation of Syndigo’s privacy compliance initiatives. Reporting to the Director of Global Data Privacy, you will assist in ensuring our company meets global data protection standards and help manage day-to-day privacy operations. Responsibilities:
• Assist the GPT in implementing and monitoring privacy initiatives in line with global regulations, including GDPR and CCPA.
• Maintain and update privacy-related documentation, such as records of processing activities (RoPA) and data maps.
• Coordinate responses to data subject access requests (DSARs) and similar regulatory inquiries.
• Undertake privacy assessments of new Vendors.
• Support the review of contracts for privacy and data protection requirements (Vendor and Customers).
• Monitor and log data privacy incidents, assisting with investigations and resolutions as needed.
• Stay updated on changes to privacy laws and communicate key developments to the Privacy Team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Product, Sales, Infosec) to ensure privacy-by-design principles are applied.
• Prepare status updates, compliance metrics, and reports for internal review.
• Support privacy training and awareness initiatives for employees.
Requirements:
• Work experience: Privacy, data protection, or compliance experience is welcome but not required; internships or transferable skills from other roles will also be considered.
• Basic knowledge of GDPR, and other major data protection regulations.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with attention to detail.
• Comfortable working with tools like MS Excel, Word, and Teams; experience with privacy management software is a bonus.
• Interest in learning privacy-related technical concepts, such as data mapping and encryption.
• Languages: Fluent in English (written and oral).
Nice-to-have:
• Exposure to privacy-related tasks, such as reviewing Vendors for privacy compliance, or handling Data Subject Access Requests (DSAR).
• Understanding compliance management frameworks or methodologies.
• Basic knowledge of website operations, tracking technologies, or internet privacy concepts.
• CIPP/E or another privacy certification in progress or completed.
• Familiarity with common business tools like SharePoint, Jira, or Service Desk tools.
• Interest in exploring technical privacy topics, such as access controls, encryption or data transfer mechanisms, or a willingness to learn in these areas.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail with an ability to handle sensitive information discreetly.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• A proactive and curious mindset, eager to learn and grow within the privacy field.

Your individual compensation within the budgeted salary range is determined based on your skills, education, experience, and internal equity. This position is Bonus Eligible.

Budgeted Salary Range is:
₹699,644—₹874,556 INR
