Job Title: Java Backend Developer with Spring Batch
Location: Pune (Hybrid - 3 days a week from office)

Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Java Developer with strong Spring Batch expertise to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications and large-scale batch processing solutions. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Microservices, REST APIs, and database technologies, with a proven track record of building scalable, high-performance backend systems.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java 17+, Spring Boot, and Spring Batch.
- Build and enhance batch processing solutions for large-volume data ingestion, transformation, validation, and reporting.
- Develop robust RESTful APIs and microservices to support enterprise applications.
- Optimize application performance, reliability, maintainability, and security.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, QA teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Develop and maintain integration processes involving file processing, scheduling, data migration, and ETL workflows.
- Design and optimize database solutions, ensuring efficient query performance and data integrity.
- Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, and architecture reviews.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement sustainable fixes.
- Follow coding standards, best practices, and software development lifecycle processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Java application development.
- Strong expertise in Core Java (Java 8/11/17+) and Object-Oriented Programming principles.
- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, and Spring Batch.
- Experience in designing and developing batch processing jobs, job scheduling, partitioning, chunk processing, and job monitoring.
- Strong understanding of Microservices Architecture and REST API development.
- Experience working with Oracle, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server databases.
- Good knowledge of SQL optimization, indexing, and performance tuning.
- Experience with messaging and event-driven systems such as Kafka is preferred.
- Strong understanding of design patterns, coding standards, and software engineering best practices.
- Experience with unit and integration testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.
- Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in financial services, banking, or enterprise-scale applications.
- Familiarity with file processing formats such as CSV, XML, and JSON.
- Exposure to scheduling tools and batch orchestration frameworks.
- Knowledge of React or Angular is an added advantage.
- Strong backend developers with expertise in Java and Spring Batch.
