As a Senior Associate within the Wealth Management Investment Governance team, you will lead the Mumbai-based team, conduct methodology and periodic reviews, and deliver analytics and automation solutions that enhance the effectiveness of the governance function. You will design and implement enhanced frameworks and tools to support key strategic initiatives. As a trusted partner to Due Diligence, Risk, Compliance, Middle Office, Product, and Technology teams, you will help shape the future direction of the investment governance framework while developing talent and fostering a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.
Job Responsibilities
- Design and implement enhanced frameworks, methodologies, and tools to strengthen Investment Governance oversight processes.
- Lead the planning and execution of methodology and periodic reviews, ensuring analytical rigor, robust documentation, and timely resolution of findings.
- Translate complex data and review outcomes into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for senior leadership.
- Identify and deliver automation and analytics solutions that improve efficiency, scalability, and insight across governance processes.
- Manage and coach team members through performance management, resource allocation, mentorship, and priority setting.
- Drive strategic initiatives that enhance the effectiveness of Investment Governance oversight.
- Partner with cross-functional teams across Due Diligence, Risk, Compliance, Middle Office, Product, and Technology to align priorities and deliver collaborative outcomes.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in governance, due diligence, risk management, or a related analytical function.
- People management experience, including coaching and performance management.
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing frameworks, methodologies, or process enhancements within a governance or oversight environment.
- Proven ability to lead reviews or projects from inception through completion, supported by strong analytical rigor and sound judgment.
- Experience identifying and delivering automation or analytics solutions that improve efficiency and scalability.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Advanced proficiency in analytics tools such as Python and AI-assisted coding tools.
- Self-motivated leader with strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills, complemented by a detail-oriented mindset.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Master’s degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field.
- Knowledge of investment management processes, products, or governance frameworks.
- Relevant professional certification, such as CFA or FRM, or experience in wealth or asset management.
- Developing experience using AI-powered analytics, workflow automation, or intelligent process tools to drive efficiency gains, reduce manual effort, or improve accuracy in operational processes
