Project Title
SIG Contract Manufacturer Statement of Account (SOA) Harmonization & Digital Transformation
Description
Develop and successfully implement a standardized Statement of Account (SOA) process flow, governance framework, and reporting template across SIG Contract Manufacturers to enhance financial visibility, payment reconciliation efficiency, dispute resolution, and working capital management. The intern will support process mapping, data analysis, template development, collaboration with partners, and documentation while using AI-enabled tools to improve process efficiency, reporting accuracy, and business insights.
Scope

• Assess and document current SOA management practices across SIG EMS and subcontract manufacturing partners.
• Map the end-to-end SOA reconciliation process, including supplier submission, AP validation, discrepancy resolution, and closure.
• Develop standardized SOA templates, reconciliation trackers, and governance guidelines.
• Create process documentation, SOPs, and workflow diagrams to support global adoption.
• Establish supplier contact databases, blocking issue matrices, and communication workflows.
• Support pilot implementation with selected Contract Manufacturers and incorporate collaborator feedback.
• Explore AI-enabled solutions to streamline documentation, automate data analysis, identify discrepancies, and improve reporting efficiency.

Stretch Goal

• Develop an automated SOA monitoring dashboard using Power BI and Excel-based automation.
• Find opportunities to reduce reconciliation cycle time and outstanding aged balances through process optimization.
• Evaluate digitalization and automation opportunities for supplier SOA submission and tracking.
• Establish benchmarks and performance metrics to monitor SOA compliance, cycle time, and closure effectiveness.
• Pilot AI-assisted reporting and analytics capabilities to improve visibility and decision-making.

Requirements

• Pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, or related fields.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement approach.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
• Familiarity with process mapping and documentation tools (e.g., Visio) is preferred.
• Strong communication and collaborator engagement skills.
• Ability to work independently
• Demonstrated interest in AI technologies and AI-enabled ways of working.
• Ability to bring to bear AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot or equivalent) to analyze data, generate insights, automate routine tasks, enhance documentation quality, and improve operational efficiency.
