About the role:
This is a full-time engineer level position, working remotely and in HeadSpin, Customer and Third-Party Data Centre premises (where applicable), reporting to the InfraOps Manager. In this role, you will be part of the global InfraOps team, focussed on delivery targets and customer satisfaction, and forming part of a project based approach to delivery of service.
You will play a key role in the Technical Operations function and will coordinate with other departments to ensure you and your team supports the business efficiently.
What you’ll do
- Assist with building and maintaining InfraOps within Headspin, relating to: -
- Networking
- Server Management
- Host configurations/Maintenance
- Apple and other third party certification management
- Setup and maintenance of AWS and VPC environments.
- Offboarding customers, security data deletion
- Internal and external network/server troubleshooting
- Work with global teams and customers across many timezones
Necessarily skills
- Extensive experience with cloud technologies, product and architecture deployment (AWS and VPC deployment essential).
- Familiar with scripting in Python/Bash
- Ability to work with macOS, Linux, Windows command-line environments.
- Understanding of and experience using source control software, such as Git.
- Good communication skills
- Time management.
- Troubleshooting skills- asking questions
- Familiarity with Android & iOS devices (desirable)
- Familiarity with Terraform or Ansible (desirable)
- Availability to work across multiple time-zones as required
- Ability to communicate effectively with expert technical representatives and colleagues
- Ability to be part of a dynamic team
- Hands-on experience of customer engagement and delivery of services
- Able to build and review proposals and plan implementation of the same
Required Experience
- 2+ years in InfraOps/deployment/operations, preferably working with SAAS related hardware/software hybrid products.
- Experience in AWS, VPC environments and network infrastructure.
- Strong background in InfraOps, Hardware Engineering beneficial.
- Knowledge of distributed systems upgrade processes (on-prem + cloud).
- Knowledge of working with CI/CD experience for hardware/software deployment
Required Education
- Computer Engineering degree or equivalent
