As a CSD Sales Leader, you are a motivator and planner. You manage sales professionals across multiple teams & geography, ensuring they follow effective strategies and achieve the company's sales goals. Additionally, you work with marketing & other functions to create campaigns that increase the organization's revenue and client base.
As a CSD Sales Leader, you are a key player in our commercial leadership team. You coordinate with other leaders to define specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART) goals and align them with the company's overall sales strategy. Effective coordination is crucial to ensuring that all teams are on the same page regarding boosting sales while keeping customers at the center of our strategy.
As a CSD Sales Leader, you report directly to the APAC Leadership. This reporting line signifies your pivotal role in supporting strategic business decisions through forecasting and market analysis, providing channel strategy and recommendations to senior leadership at country and regional levels, and working closely with cross-functional commercial and operation teams to optimize the business's growth. Your responsibility will include the entire India CSD business.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Sales Leadership: As a CSD Sales Leader, you are not just a leader but a strategic visionary. You develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and drive market penetration in the chemistry & supplies division. This role empowers you to shape the future of our business.
- Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of sales professionals, providing guidance, support, and training to maximize their performance and ensure alignment with company objectives.
- Omni-channel Management: Engage and develop robust go-to-customer channel strategy and deliver marketing and sales tools, information, and resources to your distribution partners, direct channels, and digital channels to lead with superior customer experience.
- Market Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities and refine sales approaches accordingly. Excellent outside-in view to define strategic roadmap for effective go to market plan to win more market share.
- Customer Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key customers, understanding their business challenges and proposing tailored solutions to their needs.
- Digital: Proven experience to implement and drive digital strategic programs, with core focus on scaling e-commerce revenue across the channels.
- Product Expertise: Demonstrate deep understanding and knowledge of our chemistry and supply solutions product offerings, effectively articulating their value propositions to customers.
- Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and customer support, to ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives and exceptional customer experiences.
- Sales Forecasting and Reporting: Monitor sales performance metrics, prepare regular sales forecasts, and provide timely and accurate reporting to senior management.
- Compliance & Governance: Lead with upheld Agilent values and standards of business conduct while driving a network of partners and engaging with business activities with internal & external stakeholders.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Take ownership of the overall regional sales target and allocations.
- Contribute to the team's long-term vision and strategy and manage day-to-day operations.
- Shaped and implemented business development plans and strategies across the country.
- Willingness to go beyond just closing the deal and hitting targets. Focused on addressing customers' most significant needs to develop a long-term relationship.
- A track record for exceptional performance in a constantly changing, ambiguous environment and problem-solving leadership with limited oversight. Ideal candidates will have experience and measurable success selling complex solutions to multiple senior stakeholders within the analytical market.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred.
- Proven track record of at least ten years in sales leadership roles within the analytical industry,
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others to achieve sales targets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with customers at all levels of the organization.
- Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies.
