Associate – Index Product Research and Development

ISS STOXX is growing! ISS STOXX is actively looking for an Associate – Index Product Research and Development to Join the Mumbai Team (Goregaon East).

Overview:

ISS STOXX is seeking an enthusiastic candidate with 2-5 years of experience to join the Sustainability Index R&D team in developing client-centric, innovative indices with a sustainability focus.

The successful candidate will be part of a global, dynamic and inclusive research team that are responsible for index research and design, developing thought leadership in the sustainability investment space and creating competitive index solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Develop tools and processes that facilitate the development of innovative passive quantitative strategies.

• Work closely with internal and external stakeholders

• Excellent opportunity for the right candidate with a strong interest in portfolio construction and a good understanding of financial markets.

Qualifications:

• Successful candidates should come from a quantitative finance background. Knowledge of probability and statistics (e.g., machine learning, pattern recognition, NLP, time-series analysis)

• 2-5 years experience within quantitative finance or data science

• Excellent technical skills in Python, SQL and handling structured/un. Strong hands-on experience working with GCP.

• Advanced degree in Computer Science/Statistics/Mathematics or similar quantitative field.

• Good communication, writing and presentation skills, including the ability to convey technical concepts to a wide range of audiences, are advantageous.

Nice to have

• Experiences working with ESG, Climate, or Sustainability data, either in an industry role or in a research setting.
