Looking for a talented and experienced HW Technical Lead ( (Product Compliance Test) to contribute towards compliance efforts in the NI FN BBD HW & Platform team. This role is crucial in ensuring our Fiber ONT RG and Wifi AP products meet the highest standards and regulations. The successful candidate will work closely with various teams, providing technical expertise and guidance to achieve product compliance.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct EMI/EMC tests according to international standards, including IEC, EN, CISPR, and more.
  • Understand and set up test environments for a range of tests, such as RE, RI, CE, CI, and others, across consumer and commercial domains.
  • Have a strong grasp of EMI/EMC aspects of commercial and consumer standards for product compliance.
  • Create, review, and maintain test plans and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with test setups and facilities.
  • Perform calibration activities for various instruments and equipment.
  • Follow and implement the quality process as per ISO17025 standards.
  • Review and provide feedback on schematics and layouts to enhance EMI/EMC performance.
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Digital, Power, RF, Layout, and Mechanical.
  • Stay updated with the latest hardware technologies, especially in RF, digital, and analog components.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of industry experience, or a Master's degree with 3 years of experience.
  • A solid understanding of hardware product design lifecycle, with at least 3 years of successful hardware design experience.
  • Experience with RF, Wireless, or digital communication circuits is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of transmitters, receivers, and general RF concepts, with experience in Antenna design being an advantage.
  • Familiarity with compliance regulations like CE, ETSI, ANSI, FCC, and others, and the ability to debug hardware during certification tests.
  • Proficiency in using test equipment, including Digital Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers, and Network Analyzers.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
  • A proactive and analytical mindset, with a problem-solving approach to compliance challenges.
  • A passion for technology and a commitment to delivering high-quality, compliant products.
