We are now looking for an India HR Manager to join our team.
As India HR Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring a compliant, efficient and customer‑focused HR operation for our India organisation. You will own day‑to‑day HR lifecycle processes, secure high‑quality HR data and documentation, and be a trusted partner to managers and employees on HR policies and standard employee relations matters.
Main ResponsibilitiesHR Operations & Case ManagementExecute and coordinate day‑to‑day HR lifecycle activities in India (e.g. hiring, transfers, exits, contract changes, leave, basic employee relations cases).
Act as first point of contact for India managers and employees on policies, procedures and standard HR practices.
Handle basic employee relations cases, ensuring fair, consistent and compliant treatment; escalate complex or high‑risk issues to Senior P&C Manager, HR Legal or Regional Head of EED as appropriate.
Draft and maintain India‑specific HR documentation (e.g. employment contracts, letters, addenda, employee handbook content, local templates) in line with global templates and Indian legislation.
Review and approve HR transactions in Workday to ensure accuracy, proper controls and a robust audit trail.
Run periodic data quality checks and corrections to maintain clean and reliable HR data for India.
Localise and implement new global HR processes, standards and tools in India (e.g. new workflows, templates, self‑service content).
Promote the use of Workday and self‑service tools among managers and employees to increase efficiency and consistency.
Collaborate closely with India business leaders, P&C Consultants and cross‑cutting EED teams on data quality sweeps, reporting and process improvements.
Identify opportunities to reduce manual work / rework and improve the employee experience in India HR processes over time.
Provide feedback on India‑specific needs, regulatory changes and market practices to inform regional / global process design.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Psychology or a related field required.
Preferred: Postgraduate qualification in HR / Industrial Relations / Labour Law (e.g. MBA/PGDM in HR, MLW, MSW or equivalent).
8+ years of progressive HR experience, primarily in HR operations / HR Generalist / HRBP roles, with strong exposure to India employment lifecycle processes.
Hands‑on experience managing HR operations for India, including onboarding, exits, payroll interface inputs, benefits administration, leave management and basic employee relations.
Demonstrated experience interpreting and applying Indian labour laws and regulations (e.g. Shops and Establishments, Social Security Code, Gratuity, Provident Fund, ESI as applicable).
Experience working in a multinational or matrix environment and collaborating with regional/global HR teams is an advantage.
Prior experience with Workday or another enterprise HRIS is strongly preferred.
Strong practical knowledge of HR operations and employee relations in the India context.
High attention to detail and strong commitment to data quality, documentation and compliance.
Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures and legal requirements in a clear, pragmatic and business‑oriented way.
Customer‑oriented communication style; able to build trust and credibility with managers and employees.
Strong problem‑solving skills and a continuous‑improvement mindset.
Comfort with HR systems and willingness to adopt new tools and ways of working.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Professional proficiency in English; proficiency in relevant local languages is an advantage.
