Job Description

Help Desk – Tax Technology

As part of the Tax Automation & Innovation (TAI) team, the Help Desk Specialist (Staff) will provide front‑line support for our tax technology applications and assist engagement teams with resolving system‑related questions. This entry‑level/early‑career role is ideal for someone with a foundation in U.S. tax compliance who is interested in building a career in tax technology.

What Work You Will be Responsible For:

  • Application Support
    • Provide Level1 support for key tax applications, including:
      EisnerAmper Proprietary Applications / Workpapers and other internal tax platforms.
    • Troubleshoot common user issues, error messages, login problems, and workflow questions.
    • Escalate unresolved or complex issues to senior staff or technical teams as needed.
    • Log, track, and update help desk tickets with clear and complete information.
  • Compliance‑Driven Support
    • Apply general knowledge of U.S. partnership tax compliance to help users understand system outputs and workflows.
    • Assist with reviewing basic system‑generated tax forms or diagnostics for accuracy.
  • Testing & Quality Assurance
    • Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for routine releases, enhancements, and bug fixes.
    • Execute assigned test cases and document results, issues, and observations.
    • Communicate feedback clearly to the TAI team.
  • Documentation & Process Support
    • Assist in maintaining user guides, FAQs, and internal support documentation.
    • Document recurring issues and propose improvements to the support process.
    • Help track commonly reported issues to identify trends.
  • Training Assistance
    • Provide basic onboarding support for new users of tax applications.
    • Support team-led training sessions by preparing materials or answering routine questions.

Basic qualifications for the opportunity

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or another relevant discipline.
  • 1–2 years of experience in U.S. tax compliance (preferably partnership/1065 experience).
  • Familiarity with tax preparation platforms (GoSystem, CCH Axcess, OneSource, or similar) is helpful.
  • Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency with emphasis on Excel skills
  • Ability to follow structured workflows and support procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to tax technology tools such as HubSync, Alteryx or Workpapers (training will be provided).
  • Basic understanding of testing concepts (UAT, test cases, defect logging).
  • Experience with automation, process improvement, or tax technology.
  • Experience using AI tools such as Copilot, ChatGPT or Claude
