Position Overview: St. Mary High School, a distinguished institution with a legacy spanning over 20 years, seeks an experienced and dynamic Headmistress to provide strong leadership and direction. The Headmistress will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational experience of our students, fostering a culture of academic excellence, and ensuring the holistic development of individual in alignment with our institutional values and ethos.

Key Responsibilities:

Educational Leadership:

• Provide visionary leadership in the development and implementation of educational strategies aimed at promoting academic excellence, creativity, and critical thinking skills among students.
  
• Lead by example, inspiring and empowering faculty and staff to deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences.
  

Curriculum Development and Innovation:

• Oversee the design and implementation of a dynamic and comprehensive curriculum that meets the needs of our diverse student body and prepares them for success in the 21st century.
  
• Champion innovation in teaching methodologies, instructional practices, and curriculum design to enhance student engagement and achievement.
  

Student Welfare and Discipline:

• Prioritize the well-being and safety of students, fostering a supportive and inclusive school environment where all students feel valued, respected, and supported.
  
• Implement effective disciplinary measures when necessary, ensuring a fair and consistent approach that upholds the school's values and standards.
  

Staff Management and Development:

• Recruit, mentor, and evaluate a team of dedicated educators and support staff, fostering a culture of professional growth, collaboration, and excellence.
  
• Provide ongoing support and professional development opportunities to enhance the skills and capabilities of staff members.
  

Community Engagement and Partnerships:

• Cultivate positive relationships with parents, alumni, community stakeholders, and industry partners, serving as a visible and engaged representative of the school.
  
• Collaborate with external organizations and educational institutions to enrich student experiences and expand learning opportunities through meaningful partnerships and initiatives.
  

Administrative Oversight:

• Oversee day-to-day administrative operations, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation, ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the school.
  
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, accreditation requirements, and school policies, maintaining a high standard of accountability and transparency.
  

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field. Doctorate would be an advantage.
  
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in educational leadership roles, with a proven track record of success as a Principal, Deputy Principal, or Head of Department.
  
• Strong understanding of curriculum development, instructional practices, and educational trends, with a focus on innovation and excellence.
  
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others towards a shared vision.
  
• Commitment to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of school life, ensuring a welcoming and inclusive environment for all members of the school community.
  
• Experience in a technology-driven educational environment and familiarity with digital learning platforms and data analytics tools is highly desirable.
