The role

We are looking to hire high-energy, entrepreneurial and value-adding talent to join Blenheim Chalcot, a global digital venture builder to manage and oversee the delivery of our people agenda, professional development and manage key supplier relationships. The Head of HR will work closely across our global reach with both our central global leadership team, and the leadership teams of our Portfolio companies. The role will report into the Chief Operating Officer, and the People Operations Manager.

Key responsibilities

The Head of HR is a leading role in Blenheim Chalcot India responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies, policies, and programmes that align with the business objectives, vision, and values of the organization. The role will work closely with Portfolio leaders to direct their HR objectives within India. The role will work closely with senior management to identify HR priorities and opportunities, provide leadership to the wider HR team, and foster a culture of continuous professional growth and development.

The successful candidate will be driving strategic HR initiatives, including HR Business Partnering, Capability Frameworks, Performance & Salary Review, and navigating and embedding matrixed organizational structures.

Specific duties

  • Ensure that all employees are well-supported, motivated, and equipped with the skills they need to grow and contribute to the success of the business
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to forecast staffing needs and skill requirements.
  • Embed people data-based decision-making processes into HR processes across the organisation.
  • Work closely with Portfolio Company Leadership to enable their strategic policies into
  • Oversee and update comprehensive onboarding programmes to integrate new hires smoothly ensuring that new employees understand company culture, company structure, key policies, and their role.
  • Responsible for employee relations matters, including employee concerns and grievances, fostering a positive work environment and company culture.
  • Responsible for embedding policy understanding and compliance
  • Overseeing the performance appraisal system and career development framework, ensuring adoption, understanding and publication of internal opportunities.,
  • Demonstrate a growth mindset and continuously improve processes - this includes using data to identify areas for improvement, implementing new technologies, and collaborating with stakeholders to develop best practices.
  • Work in a highly entrepreneurial environment, focusing on execution and ensuring plans come to fruition.
  • Line manages the wider HR team of HRBPs, HR Operations and HR Shared Services, supporting their career development needs and requirements.
  • Take an active role in building the Blenheim Chalcot brand externally through a wide range of initiatives.
  • In addition to the above it's worth noting that we're a highly agile organisation, that is built to support our ventures growth so other tasks and projects may require your support from time to time outside of the above.

About you

The ideal candidate will have a track-record in delivering results in a fast-moving business and hence be comfortable with change and uncertainty. Excellent stakeholder management experience is essential to being successful in this role.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Proven experience in HR systems management and implementation.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes and data management.
  • Strong understanding of labour laws in India.
  • Proficiency in HRIS platforms and other HR technologies, preferably HiBob and Keka.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Experience of negotiating supplier contracts.
  • Excellent stakeholder management at all levels including C-suite.
  • Be able to operate at a range of levels – both in terms of big picture strategic thinking, thought leadership and make data-led recommendations.
