To support both Regent College London (RCL) and Regent European University (REU) in ensuring effective governance, regulatory compliance, and high-quality committee servicing.

To support both Regent College London (RCL) and Regent European University (REU) in ensuring effective governance, regulatory compliance, and high-quality committee servicing.
Specific duties and responsibilities
- Act as the primary governance contact for REU, providing practical guidance to committee Chairs and stakeholders on governance processes, requirements, and good practice
- Ensure that REU committees and meetings operate in accordance with their approved terms of reference and annual business schedule, ensuring meetings are conducted in line with approved terms of reference and the annual business schedule.
- Service committees and meetings, including:
- Supporting the development of committee agendas and annual cycles of business, ensuring key items are scheduled and papers are appropriately structured
- Distributing documentation in a timely manner
- Taking accurate minutes
- Maintain and manage committee terms of reference and membership records, ensuring they are accurate and up to date
- Support RCL Internal Audits, by ensuring actions arising from internal audits are logged in tracking systems
- Monitor RCL audit action progress and proactively follow up with responsible owners to ensure timely completion.
- Identify opportunities to improve governance processes and documentation, supporting the enhancement of committee effectiveness
- Any other duties commensurate with the scope and seniority of the role, as assigned by the Head of Governance and Compliance.
- Liaise with the Data Protection Officer (DPO) to coordinate and manage responses to Subject Access Requests for RCL in compliance with UK GDPR
- EXPERIENCE & PERSONAL QUALITIES
Essential:
Experience in governance, compliance, or higher education administration
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive information
Desirable:
Experience working with Boards, Senates, or senior committees
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Essential:
Experience in committee servicing
Desirable:
Knowledge of governance processes
Familiarity with data protection regulations (UK GDPR)- EDUCATION & PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Essential: - Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
Desirable:- Relevant qualification in governance, compliance, or data protection
