Geo Specialist is responsible to help build Setu’s technical expertise to onboard and execute new projects with required quality standards. S/he is responsible to conduct pilot projects, understand and define technical requirement. S/he should detail-oriented, be a team player and should contribute to the growth and expansion of Setu’s data processing services.
Roles & Responsibilities

Co-ordinate in onboarding technical Geo-Data based projects.

Perform classification, feature extraction and mapping Using LIDAR & Image data.

Expertise in Lidar & Image Data QA/QC.

Detailed oriented with the focus on maximizing production while maintaining quality.

Must be well-versed with new technologies, software, hardware, methodologies related to LIDAR & Image data process.

Assist In Cost estimation and resource planning.

Identify and suggest best and cost-effective software and systems to maximum the utilization and productivity

Assess software and system requirements based on project specification.

Suggest Idea & Contribute to implementation of project improvements.

Identify project risk and highlight them on proactive basis.

Ensure on time project deliveries as per agreed quality and within scope and budget

Collaborate with innovation team on technical issues
Skills & Qualification
-
Bachelor's or master's degree in Geoinformatics or related discipline.
-
Minimum 3 – 5 years' experience in production environment.

Well versed with powerline classification, advance classification using Airborne Laser Scanning (ALS) Data and GIS software tools like, Micro-station, Terra Solid, Arc GIS Pro, QGIS, Global Mapper, AutoCAD or other similar 3D mapping software packages.

Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Interpersonal & Relationship Building skills.

Must work well with others, be team oriented, helpful and a good problem solver.

Ability to read, understand and apply technical information, form procedure manuals, written and verbal instruction, guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures.

HSE Responsibilities:
Responsible for ensuring safety of self and others at site. Prevent damage of equipment and assets Responsible for following all safety signs/procedures/ safe working practices Responsible for using appropriate PPE’s Responsible for participating in mock drills. Entitled to refuse any to undertake any activity considered unsafe. Responsible for filling up of hazard observation card, wherever hazard has been noticed at site. Responsible for safe housekeeping of his work place. To stop any operation that is deemed unsafe To be able to operate fire extinguisher in case of fire To report an incident as soon as possible to immediate supervisor and HSE manager To complete HSE trainings as instructed to do so.
