Job DescriptionAssent is expanding its AI capabilities to support more efficient, data-driven, and scalable ways of working across the organization. As part of this transformation, we are seeking a GenAI Solution Architect to lead the design, governance, and technical delivery of AI-powered solutions that enhance productivity and empower teams across the business.
This role reports directly to the Senior Director, Technology & Data Solutions, and serves as the technical leader for our AI engineering function, providing architectural direction and technical leadership to GenAI Developers and partnering closely with stakeholders across Technology, Data, Privacy, Security, and business teams. You will define the patterns, guardrails, and architectural foundations that ensure AI solutions are reliable, secure, scalable, and aligned with Assent’s standards — while enabling responsible and effective use of AI across the company.
The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise, strong architectural judgment, and the ability to influence and collaborate across functions. You will play a central role in shaping how Assent leverages AI to streamline operations, unlock efficiency, and equip teams with modern tools that augment their work.
Architecture & Solution Design
Lead the design of production-grade GenAI solutions including copilots, automated workflows, retrieval systems, and agent-based architectures.
Develop and maintain reusable patterns, reference architectures, design standards, and code templates.
Provide solution design leadership and architectural oversight for all AI initiatives, ensuring alignment with enterprise technology strategy.
Evaluate emerging LLM capabilities and guide model selection, integration strategy, and implementation approach.
Engineering Leadership
Provide technical guidance, oversight, training, and enablement to both specialized GenAI program developers and citizen developers/champions across the organization, ensuring high-quality implementation aligned with architectural standards.
Provide architectural leadership and delivery oversight to cross-functional team members mobilized for GenAI projects, ensuring their work aligns with established patterns, standards, and governance requirements.
Translate solution designs into clear engineering specifications and development plans.
Oversee code quality, development workflows, testing strategies, and deployment processes.
Ensure solutions include monitoring, auditability, fallback paths, and long-term maintainability.
Governance & Responsible AI
Implement technical guardrails for secure data handling, privacy, PII isolation, logging, and responsible AI usage.
Govern citizen-developer activity and ensure consistency with enterprise standards.
Partner with Security, Privacy, Legal, and Data Governance to identify risks and ensure compliance.
Participate in the enterprise AI governance framework, providing technical guidance and architectural assessments.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Collaborate with business stakeholders to refine use cases, assess feasibility, and translate operational needs into technical workflows.
Support the AI Champions ecosystem with patterns, guidance, and technical enablement.
Contribute to roadmap planning, intake, and prioritization for enterprise AI initiatives.
Work closely with Enterprise Integrations, Data engineering, and Enterprise Architecture to ensure consistent integration with core systems and data platforms.
We strongly value your talent, energy and passion. It will also be valuable to Assent if you have the following qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in technical roles with demonstrated progression in responsibility and scope, including specialized experience in technology solution design, applied AI engineering, or system integration.
Demonstrated experience designing and deploying production-grade LLM applications, including copilots, agents, RAG systems, or workflow automation.
Strong proficiency in Python, with experience building modular, maintainable components for AI-driven workflows.
Hands-on experience with LLM orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, or DSPy, and familiarity with agent-based design patterns.
Solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS preferred), including serverless compute, API integration, monitoring, and logging.
Experience designing secure and responsible AI solutions with considerations for PII handling, privacy, auditability, and compliance.
Ability to translate business needs into clear architectural designs, solution patterns, and development specifications.
Proven experience providing technical guidance to developers or cross-functional engineering contributors.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate AI system behavior and optimize workflows using performance metrics.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and articulate complex concepts clearly.
