Role description: This role is with one of our portfolio companies(Series A funded)
We are seeking a creative and innovative Game Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about video games, have a strong understanding of game mechanics, storytelling, and user experience design, and be able to conceptualize and develop engaging gameplay experiences.
Responsibilities:
1. Design and Implement Gameplay Mechanics - Conceptualize, develop, and refine game mechanics, systems, and features aligned with project vision.
2. Cross-functional Collaboration and support - Support other teams to align design and data efforts with project goals.
3. Create Detailed Documentation - Draft gameplay rules, data sheets, and UI/UX flowcharts.
4. End-to-end Ownership - Ensure successful implementation with artists, programmers, etc.
Requirements:
1. At least 5 years of experience in game design, with a portfolio of past work demonstrating game mechanics, level design, or narrative design.
2. Proficiency in game engines such as Unity, Unreal Engine, or similar game engines with some technical/coding skills for clear communication with the development team.
3. Strong understanding of game mechanics, player psychology, and UX design principles.
4. Creative problem-Solving skills and the ability to think critically about game mechanics and player experiences with strong attention to detail
